Fearless Friday, Last Minute Easter Gift

Here is a last minute Easter gift idea…

My grands are getting so grown up, they are now 9, 11,12 & 15…

I have always given them candy and toys for Easter,

but these days they are all about earning spending money,

and they are great about doing chores and helping out…

I thought about gift cards but then

I decided to give them some good old cash!

I tucked it in an envelope

with a monogrammed Easter egg on it

to find Easter morning

Pinterest has tons of Easter egg design ideas here

which I glanced at for inspiration and then I did a sketch~

I did a rough pencil shaped egg that obviously isn’t perfect~

you can always make a template and trace the egg if you’d rather

I inked it and started playing with the design

I wanted each egg to have their first initial and a heart

As I said, these are far from perfect

but the children will rip into them

and they will be history, so it really doesn’t matter

After doing a mock up, I drew the eggs on the envelopes

And colored them with markers

I will slip the cash inside and put the envelopes on the kitchen island

with a bunny vignette to find on Easter morning

C, E, F & W will be happy little bunnies!

These would also make a cute gift tag or card~

Have fun and Be Fearless!

Bittersweet! The kids will love those, but isn’t it kind of sad that it’s the end of an era. Happy Easter, Jenna and family.

Jenna, how can this be 9, 11, 12, and 15?! Money is easier, but it is like Rita said…bittersweet. The envelopes are so cute. Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter!

  3. I love how they turned out. Very pretty! 😊

How clever Jenna and I fully understand the bittersweet comments. They grow so fast…reminds me of the song “Sunrise/Sunset”…and it brings tears to my eyes. Have a glorious and Happy Easter!

Your grandkids are so lucky to have such a talented and clever grandmother. Good old cash always works for me as well, but I used to really enjoy putting Easter baskets together for all the kids. Happy Easter to you and your family!
