Take-out Tuesday, Club & Sub Sandwich Twists

My favorite sandwiches are club sandwiches,

toasted bread spread with mayonnaise,

sliced tomatoes, crispy bacon and lettuce

and Italian submarine sandwiches,

layers of salami, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, Italian dressing

Delicious as they are in the traditional ways,

it’s fun to put a little twist on them too

For appetizers, you can make mini sandwiches on thin bread,

cut them into squares and use skewers to hold them together

Italiano Morsi

You can turn your submarine sandwich

into a Salad Sub Sandwich

Hollow out a submarine roll and toast it

Toss a salad with dressing and put into the roll

Then pile on meats and cheese

Serve it open faced and eat it with a knife and fork

If you are craving a sandwich, but you need a casserole for supper,

try Club Sandwich Lasagna

Lasagna noodles with layers of turkey, ham, bacon,

tomatoes, green onions and cheese with Alfredo sauce

Or you can make it with ravioli~

Deli Sandwich Ravioli Bake

Make a Club Sandwich in a Roll

Ham, turkey, cheese and bacon rolled up in crescent roll dough,

sliced, baked and served with lettuce and tomato on the side

Here’s another roll version, Club Sub Spirals

Turn your roll into a ring for an impressive presentation

Lots of tasty ideas! I often make a BLTA salad adding the avocado and a hard boiled egg. I liked your idea of serving the mini subs for appetizers. Cheers!

What a lovely variety of “sandwiches!” I would never think to serve a sandwich in so many different ways that makes them more than just a sandwich.
