September will begin in just a few days,
I know many of us are ready to bid summer goodbye
I have been looking forward to all things Fall
and I’m ready for some football!
The flavor/theme of the month is Football Food
Most of the recipes on this list are perfect for tailgating
or football watching gatherings
You can see photos of the recipes listed below
in the September section of my Monthly Bucket List

Bacon Wrapped Sweet Potato Bites from Taste of Home
Apple Cheddar Pizza with Caramelized Onions & Walnuts from Oh My Veggies

The flavor/theme of the month was Peaches
Instead of making
BBQ Chicken and Peach Quesadillas from Closet Cooking
I made Peachy BBQ Chicken in the slow cooker
and served it with Baked Cheese Grits
Pesto Zucchini and Peach Pizza from Half Baked Harvest
was the inspiration for Summer Peach & Bacon Pizza
I did a round-up of savory pies made with late summer produce

Peach Salsa Chicken Chalupas are a dump,
set and forget slow cooker family friendly meal
that is perfect for busy school nights
You can lighten up pizza night with Veggie Pizzas & Unique Pizza Crusts

I adapted 4 ingredient Peach Dumplings from Spend with Pennies
into my own version using fresh peaches and almonds
It’s time to think Fall!

Something else that caught my eye was cheesy chicken bacon ranch potato soup on the side bar. I’ll have to check that out – it looks fabulous. Happy almost football season!
