Fearless Friday, Magic Potion
Halloween is popping up all over the place
and this has me feeling a little “witchy”

Today I thought it would be fun to brew up a magic potion
And put it in a bottle…
Let’s start with the bottle

A pencil sketch to start
When drawing a symmetrical object like this bottle
sometimes it helps to draw one side
and then turn it upside down and draw the other side
The bottle isn’t perfect,
but when I add the potion,
there will be a lot things going on
and it won’t be noticable

Colored shapes are mingling to create the magic potion

Some of the magic potion has escaped!

Splatter and fine lines indicating shadow are added
for finishing touches
“Magic Potion” 9″ x 7″ watercolor, marker and ink on mixed media paper

Be Fearless!
I will be joining these fabulous parties and blogs:

Love this one Jenna!

I once knew an old lady in my church who wore this as a perfume!
😂
Hey, Jenna,
checking in to let you know I am still kicking over here in Georgia and now looking at your latest FEARLESS FRIDAY. Between fall cleaning (the Augean Stables come to mind here) and car repairs I have been so busy. But today I am loving your bottle. Love this time of year, it makes me hear the crunch on leaves, smell fall, and think of some of your great recipes I will also check out. Happy Fall, dear Jenna~! Shelia aka Georgia Gal
hi Georgia Gal, so good to hear from you! I hope you have a wonderful Fall!
Jenna, the magic potion is perfect, love it. I also think the witch on her broom is fabulous! Happy weekend!
Thanks Pam, have a great weekend!

Oh, Fun, it definitely has a Disney look to it, fun to see it evolve, love all your paintings! Sandi
Thanks so much Sandi, it was fun to create 🙂
Hi Jenna, that’s a fantastic tip about turning the drawing upside down when drawing something symmetrical. I love that the magic potion has escaped the bottle and the spatter and fie lines! What a lovely creative painting and I adore the witch too. Take care down there and I hope that PTC #9 peters out in the Gulf and doesn’t bother anybody!!
It is amazing how turning the paper can make it easier! This was a fun one, thanks Kim!
This is so cute and festive!
Thanks Jeanie, I had fun with this one 🙂
Love your potion bottle Jenna, but I especially love your witch on her broom! 🎃🧹🧡
