Proud Peacock
Let’s paint a peacock today!
I have a special place in my heart for peacocks~
I grew up in Southern California and in my area
peacocks strolled around freely, and you could see them often

They are so beautiful!
I have done a peacock before with watercolor and markers
I saw this peacock, below, on Pinterest
{source unknown}
I loved the soft, abstract flow of his feathers
and wanted to see if I could do a similar rendition

It was perfect for using my Watercolor Crayons

I used blue, purple and green crayons
Blending with a paint brush and water
At this point,
I decided to use a fine liner pen for a little drama

To finish, he got a few more dots
with turquoise, green, and purple markers
“Proud Peacock” watercolor crayon, marker and ink
Peacock Feather in marker and ink
Strut your stuff and
Be Fearless!

Thank you Dorothy, have a nice weekend
Beautiful peacock, Jenna. A few years ago we had a peacock visitor that came to our pasture and would sit on the fence. He visited on several occasions. We had no clue where his home could possibly be. He disappeared and hopefully found his home again. Happy Friday!
They are beautiful creatures aren’t they! 🦚
I love peacocks–somehow they seem magical to me. Your rendition is beautiful and as usual your great creativity inspires us to be “fearless” as you recommend. Have a wonderful weekend! Georgia Gal
