Creations, Burlap ribbon basket

This is just a little mini project, hardly worth mentioning, but maybe it will spur you on to fix something that’s been bugging you…

The thorn in my side was in the Master bathroom

I would love to give you the impression that I always have lovely fresh flowers in the bath but sigh~nope, it usually looks like

this…

Every time I walked by this I would think, wow that looks terrible!  Then the other day I stopped and had a little conversation with myself,   “Really?  This is quite embarrassing!  Surely there is something around here that you could put them in or on and make that sloppy pile look better!”

Out in the garage I found a basket…and spied my spool of burlap ribbon

DSC_8807

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, don’t want polka dots…..

DSC_8808

how about stripes!  Any kind of craft paint or acrylic will work~

DSC_8809

I actually even measured the stripes out and taped them off…which was sooooooo unlike me, I’m much too impatient for that normally….

but I’m glad I did because I got a really clean edge on the stripes

I hung the length up to dry thoroughly

and tied it around the basket.  Now I warned you at the beginning this wasn’t rocket science…

but now everytime I walk by I smile instead of rolling my eyes….of course now I’m noticing that my towels are old, and ugly and I really should get new fluffy beautiful new ones…but in the meantime, it’s an improvement!

Sometimes the littlest things can make a big difference!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
