Tablescapes, It’s a Pattern Party!

This started out innocently enough…
I wanted to use my Painted Chargers in a totally different way
to show how versatile they are
and I got a leeeeettle carried away
I knew I wanted to use pink
which lead me to some light aqua pieces
which led me to the Polka Dot Birdhouse
and the Painted Silver Roll Tray
which lead to silver teapots and wedding china…
silverware and sugar bowls
The silver pieces led to crystal goblets
and it was all quite crazy…
It reminded me of the quote “Too much is never enough!”
and I felt quite like Alice in Wonderland!
How do you feel about mixing patterns and styles?

I will be joining these fabulous parties and blogs:
I think it is much more interesting to mix it up. When everything is done the way our mothers did it with a white damask cloth and matching sets of china with carefully coordinated crystal and silver, it can still look quite elegant, but mostly it looks predictable. Dare I say: Boring. I like the chargers with the glass around the edges in last one of your photos here — very snazzy!
I agree, conventional is boring!!
I love that great tablecloth! Looks like a fun setting and I still say those charges will be fun at Halloween:@)
I love how your chargers came out. There is a time for matching, and a time for fun patterns. Room at the table for all!
thanks Kathleen~
I LOVE this table!! Your chargers work perfectly, and those coming to the table will be greeted with so much to enjoy, they’ll surely smile: love the patterns and colors! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Thank you Rosie, I was a little scared to post this because it was so unconventional~
What fun and creative tablescapes… thanks for the inspiration. And the Moroccan fantasy is just beautiful!
thanks so much Kate!
I absolutely LOVE your table scrapes. They are so fun and colorful, filled with beautiful dishes, arrangements and serving pieces! The chargers turned out lovely. I have a set of red I used only once. It has inspired me to paint a decorative border on them to give them some personality!
That is awesome Vikki! Send me a picture when they are finished and I will share your creation with everyone!
Such gorgeous patterns! You hit it out of the ball park my friend. Beautiful!!
thanks so much Christine!
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with mixing it up a little bit and having fun with a lot of color and pattern! I, too, subscribe to the theory of “too much is never enough”, so there you have it!!!
ha! More is more!!
Love the whimsy and creativity at your table with your swirls, dots and scrolls Jenna! Your tablecloth is a fun foundation and I love seeing the back of your painted birdhouse with those large polka dots 🙂
I love pretty tablescapes, but I have to admit that I haven’t done one in a super long time. I guess my family doesn’t really appreciate it as much as I do 🙂 Thanks for sharing on Merry Monday.
You have a knack for putting together such pretty and fun tablescapes!
Big Texas Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
Thank you Susan and Bentley!
I love what you did with the chargers so cute and like you said so very versatile. I love mixing patterns and colors.I am not a designer nor want to be and can’t afford to be of twelve servings in a pattern so I always mix and match with what I have. I think this table was so soft and pretty and whimsical too.Susie
thank you Susie, I kind of thing 12 of anything is too many, I’d rather have more variety!
Still not typing much due to rotator surgery, but had to let you know that I adore what you did with the chargers. Score!
