Creations, Monogrammed Frame Mat

This is just a simple white frame from Pottery Barn

DD asked me to jazz it up a little so she could gift it to a friend that just had twins

She showed me a font she liked

and some monogram ideas

and then practice, practice, practice until you are comfortable and confident

I used a gold paint pen, deciding that gold would show up better than silver

Added a little gold detail

Juicy Details

Look at fonts on Pinterest or buy a lettering book here and learn to write in different styles to gain confidence in adding hand letters to just about anything

You can buy a lined tablet for practicing, I picked this one up for Super Boy at the grocery store

check out Hobby Lobby’s frames, they are always 50% off

I used a Krylon gold leafing pen available on line here

If you chose a whimsical font, things don’t have to be so perfect, and you can adjust the letters as you go to make it fit in your space as on this chalkboard front box from Got Toddlers? here

Have fun!

Great idea Jenna ! That is a nice personalized gift. Anniversary gift then and now picture of the wedding day and today! Between you and Mary, from Home is where the boat is, you fill my “brain”with so many ideas! Thanks!😊🌴

  3. Jenna this is perfection! I love it. I may pass this along to my daughter. She is very adept at lettering. Me? Not so much these days, but there was a time I would have jumped right in.:-)

This is a wonderful gift idea.
