Party Panache, Red Carpet Cocktail

This little concoction is guaranteed to make you a celebrity!
all you need is a pretty glass, individual dish or compote, and a few basic ingredients, and you will be a rock star
Basically it’s a flatbread made with refrigerated pizza crust dough, topped with pesto, Parmesan, chopped pistachios and sesame seeds
Unroll the crust onto a non stick baking pan and gently stretch it into a large even rectangle of dough
Spread a thin layer of pesto on dough and sprinkle with sesame seeds
Top with chopped pistachios and use your fingers to gently press toppings into dough
Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 12-14 minutes, until crust is cooked and begins to brown
Cut rectangle in half horizontally, then into 1/2″ strips
The dip is made with ricotta cheese, sour cream, garlic and herb mix, and Asiago cheese
You can mix it in the bowl you’re baking it in, just give it a spray with cooking oil for easy clean up, before adding ingredients
You can make it ahead, cover and refrigerate, and bake it later
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, until hot and bubbly
Spoon about 1/4 cup into the bottom of individual glass or bowl and add strips
The cool part is that if any of the yummy toppings fall off, they land right in the dip!

Notes
This is so simple, yet so different from the expected onion or spinach and artichoke dip with chips. You could easily add bacon or vegetables to the dip.
The flatbread techique has infinite possibilities also, change it up to your taste. I love the texture contrasts in this version, and it is a perfect partner for soups and salads too~
Thanks for stopping by!
Juicy Details
I created this dish for the Academy Awards watching, you can see the buffet table here
The pizza dippers were inspired by a recent pizza we enjoyed, Sesame Crusted Spinach, Mushroom and Prosciutto Pizza here
For another dip that is wildly popular with everyone is Pigskin Tailgate Dip here
It features Asiago cheese too, plus ham and bacon~
Thanks for noshing with me today!
