The dip is made with ricotta cheese, sour cream, garlic and herb mix, and Asiago cheese

You can mix it in the bowl you’re baking it in, just give it a spray with cooking oil for easy clean up, before adding ingredients

DSC_0006

You can make it ahead, cover and refrigerate, and bake it later

DSC_0032

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, until hot and bubbly

The cool part is that if any of the yummy toppings fall off, they land right in the dip!

Pizza Dippers

1 can refrigerated pizza crust dough or any fresh pizza dough

1/4-1/2 cup pesto

1 cup shelled pistachios, chopped

3 T sesame seeds

2 oz shredded Parmesan cheese

Unroll dough onto a non stick baking sheet.  Gently stretch into a large even rectangle.  Cover with a thin layer of pesto.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds and pistachios.  Use your fingers to gently press seeds and nuts into the dough.  Cover with Parmesan.  Bake at 400 for 12-14 minutes or until dough is done and golden

Savory Ricotta Dip

1 1/2 cup sour cream

1 cup ricotta

3 oz Asiago cheese, grated

1 envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets Savory Garlic and Herb blend

Spray a small baking dish with olive oil spray.  Mix cheese, sour cream and seasoning in the baking dish.  Cover and refrigerate or bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.  Makes about 2 1/4 cups

Serve with pizza dippers

This is so simple, yet so different from the expected onion or spinach and artichoke dip with chips.  You could easily add bacon or vegetables to the dip.

The flatbread techique has infinite possibilities also, change it up to your taste.  I love the texture contrasts in this version, and it is a perfect partner for soups and salads too~

Thanks for stopping by!

I created this dish for the Academy Awards watching, you can see the buffet table here

The pizza dippers were inspired by a recent pizza we enjoyed,  Sesame Crusted Spinach, Mushroom and Prosciutto Pizza here
