Recipe Box, Monte Cristo Biscuits

Hee hee hee hee, Happy Halloween Eve!
Are you ready for some treats?
Step into my kitchen web
and let’s get cackling cooking!
These Monte Cristo Biscuits are full of sweet and savory flavors
Ham, turkey, cheese, a little sweet strawberry jam and savory mustard
Once you assemble the biscuits, you can dip them in an egg milk mixture and cook them in a skillet like french toast
Or put them in a casserole dish with beaten eggs and milk
and bake them
Cut into squares to serve
Sprinkle with powdered sugar
The cheese melts into the egg custard and everything oozes out and makes your mouth very happy!
No tricks here, just treats!
Use any flavor of jam or preserves
Wrap them individually and freeze extras for grab and go breakfasts later

Oh how I wish I had a Monte Cristo biscuit this morning! I love how you weaved your witchy kitchen magic for an easy creation of them in a casserole/oven version, no cauldron required! My sister is coming for a visit next weekend and I’m trying decide what’s on the menu. I’m putting this on my list, thanks Jenna 🙂
Looks like you’re all set for Halloween Jenna! Have fun with the kids:@)
Jenna! This sounds and looks delicious! This would be a great breakfast for weekends when the whole family is here and wandering into the kitchen looking for food! I love the oven idea! Yum! Linda
oh I so want one of these right NOW! maybe two! 🙂
Hey, while you’re here today, could you make my house look like yours?
What a great recipe for serving up breakfast (or any meal) Halloween weekend, I know my family would love it. Love all the vignettes.
Happy weekend……….
Jenna, this is swoon worthy! Definitely going to be making them. I had to laugh when you said you resisted these plates from Home Goods – I should have! Need to have a plate give away and get rid of some of the old ones. I wanted more so I could serve them to the kids but got 12 large and 8 small and that will do for now!
Jenna, a sweet and savory biscuit…bliss! Happy Saturday!
Yummy! Your Halloween touches are so fun! I’m sure you have fun with your grands for Halloween. 🙂
