Here’s a fun way to celebrate the arrival of Spring,
Have a Spring Thanksgiving!
Come on in, I’ll show you the menu…
HHjr smoked a turkey breast
and paired it with white BBQ sauce
😋
We used a bottled local sauce,
but it’s super easy to make your own,
see my White Alabama BBQ Sauce here
add horseradish for extra zip!
I made super easy sides,
I used Stove Top cornbread stuffing mix
and added corn, celery and onion
Using a prepared baking dish
Cook the onion and celery in the microwave with the butter
As the butter melts, the vegetables will soften
Add the corn and stir in the dry stuffing
Pour in the chicken broth and stir well
{you can also stir in a beaten egg for a denser stuffing/dressing}
So easy, no fuss, no mess!
The green beans were made in a similar manner
I microwaved frozen beans in a sprayed baking dish until soft
I used Campbell’s Cream of Bacon Soup
instead of the traditional Cream of Mushroom
and added some crispy bacon pieces
It was ready for the oven in no time!
Reserved onions went on top during the last 5 minutes of baking
Instead of pumpkin pie how about
Lazy Lemon Pie in a jar for dessert

You have me craving a spring Thanksgiving now Jenna! ♥
We really enjoyed it, and just like Thanksgiving ate the leftovers the next day!
I may just have to do this real soon… nothing like a spring turkey! 😊
thanks Nancy, we enjoyed it, especially the turkey with white bbq sauce!
Spring turkey! This made me laugh. I’m not sure which one I’d rather be… a Spring Chicken or a Spring Turkey! My kids would say I’m a turkey. So cute!
ha ha, that is funny!
I never have considered putting corn in my stuffing – sounds tasty!!
Yes!
Cream of Bacon Soup!!??!! Haven’t seen yet! Genius! I hate cream of mushroom LOL!
I think it’s fairly new, there is a new Cream of Corn that’s really good too
Jenna, I always make dressing for Easter. I love the idea of thanksgiving for spring! I haven’t seen cream of bacon soup. Happy Thursday!
I love stuffing/dressing, I am going to try some different versions throughout the year, who says it has to only be for Thanksgiving! What meat do you serve at Easter? The Cream of Bacon is fairly new, another new one I really like is Cream of Corn.
I always do ham at Easter. I am not a fan of lamb. I have seen the cream of corn one. Enjoy beach time!
thanks Pam, I love ham for Easter too…
A spring thanksgiving, I like that idea. Your meal sounds great…especially the corny dressing.
thanks Karen!
The Cream of Bacon soup sounds divine for the green beans. That’s a must-try and I love the idea of dessert as a favor at a party.
Look at you with your Spring Thanksgiving dishes! I’ve always baked the traditional ham for Easter but your turkey sounds good. Girl, I may have to make a pan of dressing now! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Ha, I know, I can eat stuffing any time!
What a delicious way to bring in Spring.
thanks Sharon!
I miss Jim ‘N Nicks so much!! The hubster loves turkey, a true “turkey connoisseur”…LOL He will love this!! Hugs!
oh good! I’m sure there is incredible BBQ where you are!
Yes please, I’ll have some of that and some of this….what a lovely menu for Spring Thanksgiving. I have never heard of cream of bacon or corn in a soup. Although I do love creamed corn. I can’t wait to try these recipes. Thanks dear friend. YUM!!!
Thanks Kari, easy peasy!
