Welcome to the Fall Home Tour Blog Hop,
hosted by Andrea from Design Morsels
Thank you Andrea!
If you’re coming from Chas Crazy Creations,
I know she had some wonderful ideas for you!
🎃🍁🌻
In the deep South, we won’t see signs of Fall until mid October
I like to ease into the seasons and slowly let the decor evolve
This year I am starting with a sunflower theme,
come on in and I’ll show you around!
Sunflowers are ready to greet you in the foyer
On the table and on the back of the door
On the mantel in the family room
a tobacco basket is spilling over with dried flowers and pale pumpkins
Across the room there is a Chalk Painted secretary
which is the perfect spot for seasonal displays
There is a large tiered tray
holding my art things within easy reach by my favorite chair
A MacKenzie-Childs flower and faux sunflowers are tucked in the top tray
The dining room table has a sunflower table runner
I rarely recreate the same things, but I loved this one from 2 years ago,
so I am doing it again this year
It’s such a pretty way to enjoy late summer
with a hint of fall with a few light colored pumpkins
The runner is woven with tiny white lights
You can see the entire tablescape here
In the kitchen, the heart of every home,
my art studio is located in a nook off to the side
The large cabinet holds all my paint brushes and supplies
with a large desk that folds down when I’m working
The top of the cabinet is decorated with a MacKenzie-Childs tiered tray
and a couple of MacKenzie-Childs inspired crafts~
Little Red Truck and Chef MacPig
My easel is tucked in the corner by the windows
The clipboards hold inspiration pictures of future paintings
On the island, a MacKenzie-Childs pig is sprouting sunflowers
Oranges fill a large Courtly Check Compote
topped with a faux white pumpkin
A Sunflower Tea acrylic tray sits on the bistro table where the boys eat
On the patio, the outdoor kitchen has a wreath of fall leaves
and a rustic jug of sunflowers
If SEC football doesn’t get cancelled 🙏
I will add more Alabama football decor
And last but not least, don’t forget the mailbox!
Even though we are socially distancing,
we can still give our neighbors something pretty to look at!
Next stop Birdz of a Feather!
I hope you’ll take a moment to visit all my friends below
for some amazing fall inspirations!

Jenna, this is fabulous! xo
Thanks Deb!
I like your approach, with a transitional theme. Mid August is just too soon to put out fall leaves and pumpkins for me too. I like to do that in mid September, enjoying each season in its time and not rushing things. Lovely tables and decor, the sunflowers are perfect.
Thanks so much Carole! Sunflowers always bring so much happy!
Jenna, I love your sunflower nod to fall with all of you MC, it adds such whimsy. Every space and vignette is perfectly transitioned to autumn. I can’t even begin to think about fall without Alabama football. Wishing you a wonderful Thursday, it is raining here.
Raining?? Really??? It’s bright and sunny in Vestavia! Thanks for the kind words Pam, I wasn’t ready to decorate for fall, but I agreed to join the hop, and then went sunflower crazy 😂
Thank you for the kind words. I love your fall decor and that mailbox is so very cute! Thanks for sharing and wonderful doing the fall tour with you!
Thanks Chas!
Jenna, I hope my comment doesn’t show twice. You really went all out. I love it! It’s like Christmas but for fall. I love the black and white pigs, your secretary and the tobacco basket. Thanks so much for joining the fall home tour. I haven’t seen everyone yet, but I think you may have the most decorated up fall home!
haha, yes when you first asked about the hop, I thought, there’s no way I can do fall right now, but after a few sunflowers here and there, they just sort of exploded and landed everywhere! Thanks so much Andrea!
Great approach to gliding gently into fall. It is still very hot in the deserts of NM, but at my cabin in the mountains of NM, where it is rarely truly hot, I am noticing subtle signs that fall is around the corner. I love the changing of the seasons. Your breakfast nook is a perfect art nook with all that light and a view! You are blessed!
Thank you Linda, we are still in the 90’s in Alabama, but I am having fun inside with the sunflowers! When my children grew up I turned the breakfast nook into my art studio and it is a wonderful spot to paint and store all my stuff.
I love sunflowers! But have to say… It’s so humid here, we’re only ~wishing~ for fall:@)
It’s hot and humid here too, just pretending! Thanks Lynn!
Jenna I just felt so cozy in your home. You are already for the cooler temps.
I didn’t know you lived in Alabama!!! Me too, we need to see how far we are from each other and if not too far we need to meet!
Thanks Terrie! Yes, I am a fellow Alabamaian, I divide my time between Birmingham and Orange Beach
Wow, Jenna, I love your use of checks and sunflowers for early fall. Very bright and cheerful. The chalk-painted secretary, your adorable chair cover, the tiered organization tray, tablescape…..it’s all very well placed and coordinated.
Thank you Rita, I do love black and white, it’s so versatile and you can pair any color with it. The sunflowers really do make things bright and cheery!
I love your sunflower theme and how it works with all your black and white! Your fall vignettes are so pretty and cheerful…which is what we all need to look at these days. Great to hop with you again! I hope you get some cooler weather soon. It’s still very hot in NJ as well!
Shelley
Thanks so much Shelley, it was a fun hop!
Love your sunflower theme Jenna. Your tablescape looks stunning in the evening. I enjoyed seeing your art studio too; it looks like a lovely spot to create!
Thank you Sara, the studio is a great spot, convenient yet out of the way. What a fun hop we had!
Your sunflowers are lovely throughout the house. I love how you transition into fall. We do have to do it slow here. I’ve had sunflowers on my breakfast table for the week. I love them for August into September. I do love how you have your studio next to the patio with such a lovely view. It’s the perfect spot to paint and be creative. You sure have your home all ready for fall, love the front door pumpkin and basket inside. Hold off on the AL decor, who knows if we’ll play!!!!
Thank you Emily, I am trying not to get depressed about football, but I agree chances are slim…I am enjoying the sunflowers, they are definitely mood lifting! Have a great weekend 🌻
I love how the sunflowers contrast so nicely with courtly check. I am in full summer mode over here, but I need to start looking ahead to fall.
Thanks Ricki, I am really still in summer mode too, but I am looking forward to pumpkin season!! Are you going to the lake this weekend?
Nothing like great sunflowers to usher in Fall decor and combing it with the wonderful MKC check is even more wonderful! I love the painting your tray!!
Thank you Shirley, I am really enjoying the pops of bright the sunflowers bring 🌻
I have been trying to leave comments on your posts, I hope you’re getting them, as when I hit publish I get a error message. Also sometimes the comment section doesn’t appear at all. But I did love love your Monday Morning Blooms and your gorgeous kitchen reveal!
Sunflowers have such happy faces, they do make a person smile. You did well Jenna with your checks and sunflowers, I like that. I can’t believe we are almost to mid-August! I’m hanging onto summer and my love for the beach, hehe, but I do love fall also with pumpkins, bonfires and the crisp cool nights. Learning to enjoy each day and the beauty of each season. 😉
Thank you Cyndi, I do love Fall too, but winter, not so much! But I agree, each and every day is special! Have a great weekend!
This is really pretty and fun, too. The yellow sunflowers make the black and white seem warmer, more falliish. They brighten it so and it’s very cheerful! I’m in!
Thank you Jeanie 🌻
Jenna, I loved seeing your art studio space. It’s so full of light with all of those windows! And how convenient that it’s right off the kitchen? You did a great job of incorporating your fall sunflower themed decor into all of the rooms of your house…even the mailbox! The MacKenzie-Childs vignette is so cute, too. As always, it’s fun to join you on the hop!
Thank you so much Rebecca, I’m not really ready for Fall but I am loving the sunflowers everywhere and the gentle reminder that it’s on the way…yes, our hops are so much fun!
Jenna, you had me at sunflowers. You are so ready for fall with all your pretty pieces ~ love the pigs. It’s great to see your workspace where you create your beautiful art. The outdoor space is a wonderful place to enjoy the coming fall season. My son~in~law is sure the SEC will play football. He’s a die~hard Alabama grad.Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Carol, I love my studio space and we hang a large TV outside and watch football on the patio… it’s so much fun, I hope we get to do it this year! Tell your SIL Roll Tide for me!
You have made your home so welcoming and warm with the friendly greeting of sunflowers from your front door to your lovely table!
Thank you Chloe!
I love how you ease into Fall. Sunflowers are the perfect flower for that.
I enjoy your Mackenzie Child’s collections!
Take good care my friend!
Thanks so much Nancy! 🌻
Sunflowers are the perfect transitional flower as summer fades into fall Jenna! I love have you have them sprinkled around your home and especially mixed with black and white checks. I can’t wait for fall to arrive, Hope you’re staying cool. ♥
I am staying cool only because I am inside most of the time! Thanks Mary, I’m having fun playing with sunflowers 🌻
I LOVE all the sunflowers! They are my favorite flower to buy at the farmers market, and are definitely a great transition decor into fall. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos!
