Here’s what I made from the January Paint Bucket
the flavor/theme of the month was International
I made Italian pizza, Irish inspired nachos, Asian Salad,
Italian Gnocchi, Japanese pancakes, and French beignets…
a little traveling by cuisine!
Asparagus, Mushroom & Artichoke Aoili Pizza

I made my own lo carb version of Irish Pub Nacho Potatoes from A Wicked Whisk using roasted cauliflower and broccoli florets instead of potatoes

I shared a long time favorite, Asian Salad with Sesame Peanut Dressing inspired by Thai Peanut Salad from Seeking Good Eats

HHjr shared his recipe for Florentine Gnoochi with Mushrooms and Pancetta

We also enjoyed some Tex-Mex style Zucchini Boats,
full of sausage, black beans and corn
and I reshared 3 other stuffed zucchini recipes too

White Chocolate Sugared Lemon Bundt Cake, original recipe was renamed to Snownut Cake because it looks exactly like a big powdered sugar donut!

I didn’t make Monte Cristo Crepes from Taste and Tell but I sure enjoyed HHjr’s Japanese style pancakes, such a stunning presentation!

Biscuit Beignets with Praline Sauce from Kevin and Amanda reminded me of one of our favorite treats
Baby Beignets with Coconut Syrup, perfect for Easter brunch!

On to February!

Jenna, the pancake pillows are calling my name this morning. Who does not like bacon, it flavors so many wonderful dishes. The 7-up biscuits sound so interesting. It is a rainy and gray Sunday morning, but we have so much to be thankful for! Blessings ~
Thank you Pam, sounds like a cold week, but you’re right, we have so much to be thankful for…
We are in between rain showers as I read this post this morning, thinking of good things to eat! I came to the right place! And knowing we are one month closer to Spring is a wonderful feeling!
I guess you’re dealing with snow now? Snow is even predicted here this weekend, high is 39 today so I’m going to light the fire and stay cozy at home today!
Everything looks so good. Pass a slice of that pizza please 😉
thanks Martha 🙂
Spring is so important this year, I can’t wait! Biscuit Beignets with Praline Sauce sounds delicious, much better that ordinary pancakes. This is the season for them………Have a wonderful Sunday.
Thank you Emily, biscuit beignets are so good, I think they’re much better than original NOLA biegnets!
Sounds like you’ll be eating well Jenna, bacon makes everything better! You win the carrot wars… My next carrot recipe calls for prunes… I think bacon would be the winner:@)
ha ha!
Amazing ideas! You reminded me I need pizza!
thanks Dorothy!
Hello Jenna!
I made your 7 Up biscuits and they were incredibly delicious and moist!
Lots more of incredible ideas! Thank You Miss Jenna!
Happy Sunday!
Oh I’m so glad, thanks for the feedback Nancy!
“Don’t go “bacon” my heart, Jenna!” Everything tastes better with bacon! YUM!
