Tablescapes, Roses & Dragonflies

I spent 10 wonderful days on the coast,

boating and swimming, dining Al Fresco with friends

There was even a little planting…

The drive back to the “city” was so beautiful,

it was like watching Spring unfold before my very eyes~

Every mile was full of trees starting to bloom and grass turning green

I drove into my neighborhood and saw more blooms than I’ve ever seen!

Dogwoods, tulip trees, azaleas, it was amazing!

I couldn’t wait to bring Spring inside,

tulips, hydrangeas, roses, I couldn’t decide…

I stopped by Trader Joe’s

and found these incredible blooms

They brought Spring right into the room!

I chose the same vase I used for the Spring Sunshine Bouquet

The roses mimic the flower painting on the wall, don’t they?

In Full Bloom

I bought new melamine plates for dining on the patio

I love the colors, they just seem to glow

I also bought these fun abstract dessert spoons…

the first table things I’ve bought in many many moons!

Dragonflies joined the table, their colors just matching…

A pretty Spring table for dining and relaxing!

I wish you blue skies, sunshine, green trees and flowers!

  1. I love those dragonfly napkin rings! So so pretty and summery. Those champagne coloured roses are my favourite!

How awesome, Jenna. Those colors remind me of the hot pinks, greens and orange combos of the 1960s, still so fresh today! I love it when you share your locations and bring them to life with your creations that suit the seasons!

  3. I love all of the happy colors, Jenna! Your flowers do go with your beautiful painting, oh how I wish Trader Joe’s was closer. The fun melamine dishes and dragonfly napkin rings add to the fun table. Stay safe today ☔️☔️☔️

So beautiful Jenna. I’m wondering if you ever saw your resident heron while you were at the beach.

    • No I didn’t! I am so worried about him! My son said he thinks it’s heron nesting season, so maybe that’s it…I did see a lot of baby dolphins swimming and jumping in the water in front of our house, what a treat that was!

  5. Your painting and those roses — perfection! Everything looks so pretty, Jenna. And I know what you mean about watching spring unfold during a drive. So true!

So pretty and inspiring Jenna…BTW, made your cordon bleu bubble up last night. so easy and so good….and I had everything on hand. Yay! I was concerned about the biscuits not getting done and becoming lumps of raw dough, but that didn’t happen. I trusted your instructions and it worked perfectly. thanks and have a safe and Blessed day. (The Captain and I have both shots too! Yay!)

It has been a beautiful spring here too Jenna, everything in the neighborhood is blooming! I agree, the drive to the beach from here is always so lovely, especially in the spring. Your beach getaway sounds amazing and the beach is so incredibly beautiful this time of year. Love your table setting with the roses, dragonflies and the flatware. Yes, it does mimic the painting and the color just pops. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter……..

    • Doesn’t it just make things seem right with the world when everything starts blooming 🙂 Hope you don’t have any weather problems today, our power went out for about 1 hour…

Glad you got a break at the beach. You are right, spring is here–love those roses. My granddaughter and I took a small drive the other day and took pictures of the forsythia, thrift and loropetalu–it was swell. Have a Happy Easter! Georgia Gal

    • Thanks so much Georgia Gal, even my son commented on how beautiful the drive home was watching everything bloom and turn green! Happy Easter, a new beginning ahead…

What a fun table….I love the bold colors! I’ve always liked pink and orange together. 😀

Jenna, this is so beautiful! I love the colors you chose. Something about coral and pink makes my heart sing! Your floral arrangement is gorgeous. The flowers along with those pretty new plates definitely bring the spring indoors. Happy spring!

    • Mine too Shannon, pink and orange is such a happy combination. We’re having our last cold spell of the season {I hope!} today and tonight and then warmer temps over the weekend, yay!

  12. Kim says:

Jenna, oh my goodness! Those flowers are stunning – such pretty colors and what a perfect match for your plates and the picture in the background. I’m assuming you painted that? Wow. So talented. A beautiful table for two! So glad that the storms missed you and prayers for all those that were affected. We saw some of the pictures up here – so terrible. Glad you were able to get away for a small visit to your special place and wishing you a lovely and blessed Easter!

    • Thank you so much Kim! Yes, I did the painting, flowers are my favorite thing to paint as well as have in a vase! The destruction is terrible, tornadoes are so unpredictable the way they bounce around, my friend said it was like the tornado just jumped over her house, she didn’t have much damage except downed trees while her neighbors all lost their roofs! Thank you for visiting and I wish you a blessed Easter too!
