Creations, Seaside Shell Tray

Welcome to the monthly Creative Craft Hop

hosted by Andrea from Design Morsels

If you’re following the hop in order,

I must tell you that Chas is a hard act to follow,

she always shares beautiful creative creations!

I’m at the beach this week,

and to kick off the summer season

I decorated a tray with seashells

This wood box originally came with a child’s puzzle inside

I saved it and gave it a coat of white chalk paint

and set it aside for another day when I felt crafty…

Like today!

I picked out a few large pretty shells from my craft stash,

heated up the glue gun

and got to work

Each side features one large shell on the center and on the corners,

with sea glass or colored beads in between

This is an easy and relaxing craft that goes together quickly…

You can completely cover the sides,

or just use a few shells as I did

All 4 sides are alike yet different

A view from the top

It can be used as a beverage tray

A vanity tray to hold perfume or jewelry

It can be a decorative tray for trinkets or collectibles

Or a coffee table tray for books

I have tutorials for some of the other items pictured on the tray,
