I spent the last couple of weeks in August
slowly changing the mood in my house
from summer to early fall
Tropical flowers were replaced with sunflowers,
fall colors and pumpkins
Pumpkin plates bring Fall into the kitchen,
pretty to look at and handy for serving
I changed the Spring/Summer Chef’s vignette on top of my studio cabinet
to a vignette of chefs, pumpkins and scarecrows
In the living room I changed the mantel from Summer to Fall
by relocating the large painting
and replacing it with a Fall styled tobacco basket,
a large pot, and a sunflower pumpkin
I have sunflowers tucked just about everywhere!
The corner secretary is full of fall colors, pumpkins and textures
The hallway is decorated with a Bee Pitcher of sunflowers
I added some wood pumpkins to bring the Summer pitcher into Fall
In the foyer there is a Sunflower Basket on the door
A tray of pumpkins and sunflowers sits on the table
I wove a strand of a mini lights over and around them
The lights are on a timer that turns them on
every evening at 6 and off at 10
I’m looking forward to cooler temps
and decorating the Patio for Fall and football
I’m hoping to get my decorating assistant, CC,
to help me get some Fall going on at the beach house today

Jenna, there is so much to love about this post. Your vignettes and autumn decor are just gorgeous. I love the pitcher of sunflowers on the Courtly Check pedestal, it is eye catching. I haven’t started my fall decorating, but it is on my to do list this week. Happy Labor Day!

This is so pretty — I started my fall gently with a few things on the mantel, before I came up north. When I go home the 14th, I’ll do a little more — maybe bring out the orange then. This post is such a lovely inspiration with beautiful vignettes and wonderful color.

Everything looks great, Jenna. I love the lantern! It’s so pretty with the check ribbon and sunflowers. The corner secretary is so nicely arranged, and the beach house pumpkin pillows are perfect. I love the colors for the beach house. Have a Happy Labor Day!
