Take-out Tuesday, Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Sliders

Want a super easy and super delicious meal

that you can prep in 5 minutes?

Do you want to fill your house with a wonderful aroma?

How about something you can serve your family

or share with friends watching football?

These 4 ingredient Hawaiian Chicken Sliders

will soon become one of your go to favorites!

Boneless chicken, crushed pineapple and BBQ sauce,

a combo sent from heaven!

I had buttermilk marinated boneless chicken tenders in my freezer

which I defrosted and cut into chunks

Into the slow cooker they went,

seasoned with salt and pepper

and topped with well drained pineapple tidbits

Next, it was topped with BBQ sauce

That’s it, now all you have to do is turn it on!

3-4 hours on high and dinner is ready

We had this on lightly toasted slider rolls,

The King’s Hawaiian brand rolls are so soft

they literally absorb the flavorful chicken and pineapple

The soft rolls full of sweet and savory chicken make for delightful bites!

All you need is a nice green salad or tasty slaw on the side

Super easy and delicious idea. Do you put the chicken breast in the freezer with the buttermilk?

    • I had marinated them to use in another recipe and realized I had more than I needed, so I drained the milk off and wrapped them to freeze for a future recipe. So when I thawed them out to make this recipe they had already soaked in buttermilk overnight. But the buttermilk soak is optional, I just try to do it when I have time. Thanks Bernadette~

  8. Pineapple and chicken are such a classic and yummy combo. Serving it between the soft tender bun instead of rice is a genius idea, Jenna.

I so agree with Dorothy-“time to break out the slow cooker.” I have an Instant Pot, but the idea of the slow cooker wafting the BBQ sauce smell through the house sounds wonderful! This dish could lead to addiction.

  11. These look so good! Those Hawaiian rolls are my downfall. Have a wonderful week, Jenna.

  12. Making my mouth water and tummy growl! YUM!!! It’s meatloaf here today at Conner’s pond but I might just need to make some of these yummy sliders. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Pinned this one too Jenna. Sound delish! Made the acorn squash, breakfast sausage and stuffing dish tonight for supper and it was so very good. I was so hungry that I had a good heaping cup of the stuffing mixture while the stuffed acorn squash was doing the last 30 minutes in the oven, hehe. Boy, that was tasty too. Thank you for these great recipes!
