The Organized Life, June Paint Bucket

Happy June!

Summer has officially arrived in my corner of the world

and that means it’s grilling season!

So let’s bring on recipes we can cook and enjoy outside,

either on the BBQ or picnic style!

The flavor/theme of the month is Outdoor Eating

You can see photos of the inspiration recipes in the June section

of my Monthly Pinterest Board here

Appetizers

Tropical Hawaiian Pizza Dip from 3 Boys and a Dog

BLT Pimiento Cheese Flatbread from How Sweet Eats

Bacon Ranch Spinach Roll-Ups from the Kitchen is My Playground

Side Dishes

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole from Simply Sundays

Green Bean Crunch Salad from How Sweet Eats

Tomato Basil Squares from The Kitchen is my Playground

Grilled Avocado, original recipe

Main Dishes

BBQ Shrimp over Gouda Grits, original recipe

Grilled Burgers with Beer Cheese Sauce & Bacon from Food Network

Pear Waldorf Pita Sandwiches from Taste of Home

Alabama White Sauce BBQ Chicken Pizza, original recipe

Desserts

Peach Clobber Cheesecake Salad from The Slow Roasted Italian

Mini Grasshopper Pies, original recipe

Frozen Strawberry Margarita Pie from Plain Chicken

Breakfast & Miscellaneous

Raspberry Almond Coffee Cake from Noble Pig

Here’s what I made from the May Paint Bucket

the flavor of the month was Celebration

Our Kentucky Derby celebration was impromptu

so I didn’t get to make the Derby food

from the May bucket list

but we did nibble on Everything Mushroom Pockets

while we watched the most exciting 2 minutes in sports

Fig & Pear Prosciutto Tart was

inspired by Pear & Prosciutto Puff Pastry Tarte from Freut Cake

This is a delightful combination of flavors

Make this for brunch, appetizers, or as a side with salad

for a tasty warm weather meal

Grilled Romaine Salad with Oranges from The Painted Apron Archives

inspired me to share a round up of my favorite unusual summer salads

Grilled Summer Salads

Honey Mustard Chicken Kebabs from Real Housemoms

was the inspiration for

Honey Mustard Chicken and Vegetable Kebabs

which was a big hit and a new grill favorite

You can use any vegetables you like

and be sure to make the delicious sauce

to drizzle over the cooked kebabs 😋

Summer Breeze Ravioli is full of the colors of summer

with bright green snow peas, yellow corn, and flavorful ham

It’s dump and go, assemble early in the day

and pop it in the oven at dinner time

One day I wanted to make Croque Monsieur Pie from Simply Suzanne’s At Home

or Chicken Bacon Ranch Crescent Ring from Pillsbury

but I didn’t have all the ingredients and didn’t want to go to the store

I took a quick inventory and came up with quite a list of possibilities

using the ingredients I did have…

I included several printables if you want to keep them for future reference

Download the Endless Possibilities printable here

I didn’t make any desserts on the May bucket list

but I did make Key Lime Cookie Cups from My Suburban Kitchen

{which were on the April Paint Bucket}

These Key Lime Pie Minis are the perfect summer dessert bite!

I also posted a round up of

Easy Food for Relaxing Summer Weekends

be sure to keep these in mind for the lazy days ahead!
