Throwback Thursday, Summer Grilling Recipes

I’m getting ready to head to the beach tomorrow

for the week of the 4th of July with my family

I have been thinking about our menu

and have rounded up a few Summer favorites

that are great for the grill

We rarely go out to dinner in the Summer,

the restaurants are just too crowded

we’d all rather relax at home and dine Al fresco

Let’s talk Shish Kebabs!

and it’s fun to create all kinds of unique combinations

You can use a combination of ingredients on each skewer

or you can put all the meat on skewers

and all the vegetables on skewers

Then after grilling, remove the skewers, put everything on a platter

and then people can choose what they want

when making their plates

Bourbon Glazed Brussels Sprouts & Bacon Kebabs

make a tasty side dish, they’re so good you’ll think it’s Christmas!

Honey Mustard Chicken and Vegetable Kebabs

are made on separate skewers

since the chicken and potatoes have a longer cooking time

than the mushrooms, zucchini and peppers

Grilled Rum Glazed Coconut Shrimp ~ rum, coconut and shrimp, yes please!

Hawaiian Chicken Kebabs with Smoked Sausage, Peaches & Apricots

are an unexpected combo and make a great summer dinner

Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken & Bacon Kebabs

Blackened Shrimp Skewers

are seasoned with lemon and blackened seasoning before grilling

Here are more kebab recipes I want to try this summer

Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bite Skewers for a fun appetizer

Grilled Lemon Garlic Potato Kabobs for a side

Maple, Ham & Pineapple Kabobs

Steak, Potato & Asparagus Kebabs

Grilled Strawberry Shortcake Skewers with Blueberry Glaze for dessert!

You know the old saying-

“Everything tastes better on a stick!”

HAHAHA – Everything DOES taste better on a stick! My son used to love going to the fair and getting everything in the world on a stick. He was trying to figure out a way to do soup-on-a-stick – I think bread bowls were his final idea! 🤣 These all look delightful Jenna! I’m starting with the Hawaiian Chicken and moving on from there. Thanks for all the fabulous recipes, and have a great 4th at the beach!

I’m just going to pin this page. Your painting are adorable and your table is so pretty set in all those beautiful blues. Who wouldn’t want to dine alfresco at your table.
