Party Panache, Tailgate Time!

Labor Day less than two weeks away
and college football is about to start up~
one of my favorite things about Fall!

We are big football fans, and root for lots of different teams,
especially the one Big E plays on!
Our tailgating happens at home,
we love to have family and friends over to watch games
and I like to make it festive~

We set up a big screen TV on the patio

With chairs and a pop up tent
Here are some ideas for your football watching fun!
Include football in your Fall decor
with a cute football themed ribbon {Hobby Lobby}

Add little footballs to your Fall vignettes~
Amazon has an array of cute football ornaments here

A Football Helmet Snack Server is great for gatherings
This one has a bowl in the top for chips
and then a section at the bottom for dips or snacks
You can get one here
Make a flower arrangement in your team’s colors
to decorate your table or buffet
Make a Football Field Table Runner to use for your snacks,
all you need is a length of freezer paper,
masking tape, and green paint
Place your party nibbles right on the football field!

Order a cute cake from the bakery or grocery store deli
and have it personalized with your teams colors
Or make your own Show Your Colors Cake

Decorate a table top tree with football things and team colors
This tree is decorated with both Auburn and Ole Miss,
the teams that were playing each other that day
Alabama Tree and Wreath

Set up a team themed buffet table
I set it up inside the kitchen to keep things warm/cool
The patio is right outside the kitchen door

Serve guests with a Football Charcuterie Board

Let’s get ready for some football!

You are a great hostess and I love your patio!
p.s I guess most of comments went to the spam? I used to be able to see my comments as soon as I replied, but now I don’t see them any more.
Thanks Angie, your comment came through~
How fun Jenna, I love that your family gets into the spirit of watching the games. You have created a fun sport’s theme for those who love football. Buffets are always a winner in my book. A good time will be held by all who attend.
Thank you Linda, we love football watching parties!
Lots of very cute ideas, Jenna! I bet people love coming to your parties!
Thank you Jeanie, we always have a lot of fun 🙂
Jenna, I love football in the fall! You have so many fabulous ideas for tailgating at home on the patio! It is so hot, I can’t imagine guys practicing football. Roll Tide 🅰️🏈🐘
Yes, much too hot! Hopefully things will cool down next week before the Bama game, can’t wait!
In-person games are excitign, but I’m with you most of the time, TV football is better in so many ways! Snacking is probably the best reason!
The comforts of home and a glass of vino 🙂 !
I’d come to your party, don’t even need to watch the game (but I’d help clean up!).
Thanks Dorothy, we have a lot of fun!
Loving your football fun! Just pinned it. Of course we are avid Georgia Bulldogs. You can take the girl out of Ga but not the Ga out of the girl! LOL! I have always said though If I didn’t have my GA team then Alabama it is! Great team. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Go Dawgs! You must be excited that they are starting the season at #1!
What fabulous ideas! We love football too and I am going to use all of your tips!
Are you ready for some Football?!?
Thanks Nancy, I am so ready!!
I love football in the fall, and my grandson Xavier is playing this year. The coaches are turning 7 year olds into men lol. I better get a menu ready for football season! Xavier is a big fan of the Buffalo Bills, but Alabama is a great team and I always think of you.
Aw thanks Deb! Wow, football at age 7! My grandson Eli is 11 and is playing, he absolutely loves it!
Woo! Football Season! LOVE your party ideas, especially the football charcuterie boards – how fun is that?! We only watch some of the pro games these days, but when we do, I’m following your tips! Thanks! 🙂
Thanks Barbara, we love football gatherings, it’s a fun way to entertain!
It is hard to think of football parties, but it’s that time of the year and you have created wonderful celebrations for some great teams! Splendid ideas!
Thanks Mary, Fall is on the way!
You are good at keeping us on track with the passage of time. August has zoomed past. I am not a football fan, but I think I could be with all of your fun ideas and recipes.
Here in the south everybody lives and breathes football! Football watching parties are a fun way to entertain and see our friends~
We love football season and these fun and festive ideas provide wonderful options as we gather! Thank you!
Thanks Laura, have fun!
Wow! What great party ideas you have here Jenna. Love the football charcuterie boards – so cute. And how cool that your grandson plays on a team too! I hope you have a ton of fun at your patio tailgating parties. Let the games begin!
Thanks Kim, we love to gather for football!
