Throwback Thursday, Slow Cooker Comfort Round-up
So many parts of the US & Canada are having cold temperatures
which means we need slow cooker comfort!
I always crave something made in my slow cooker
when the weather’s cold
It makes the house smell wonderful while it’s cooking away
That is very comforting too!
This Easy Crock Pot Potato Soup is made with
frozen hash brown potatoes

Another comforting soup combines my favorite French Onion Soup
and my favorite pasta, ravioli
Slow Cooker French Onion Ravioli Soup

AND guess what, everything cooks in the slow cooker
You caramelize the onions first by cooking them in butter for 3 hours,
then you add the liquids and cook for another 3-4 hours
Then you add the refrigerated ravioli 20 before serving
and it cooks right in the soup, no boiling required!

Wonderfully Wicked Slow Cooker Chicken is family friendly
and can be served in a variety of ways~
You can serve it on a bun, over rice or pasta, or in a wrap or tortilla

Another easy, family friendly dinner is
Slow Cooker Chicken Casserole with Bacon and Tots
How about Lasagna,
have you ever made lasagna in a slow cooker?
It actually works!

This is Marco Polo Lasagna,
a white lasagna with chicken, ham, spinach & artichokes

You can make pizza in your slow cooker too
It’s actually a bubble-up with all the flavors of an Hawaiian pizza

Biscuits are cut into pieces and placed on the bottom
of your sprayed 6 qt. slow cooker then tossed with pizza sauce
and topped with pineapple, pepperoni, and cheese
Pepperoni & Pineapple Pizza Bubble-up

You can even make dessert in the slow cooker
This Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler is made with fruit pie filling,
dry cake mix, and melted butter~
It’s literally a dump set and go recipe that makes itself!

So put that slow cooker to work!

The Marco Polo lasagna looks really interesting! I think I need a crockpot!
Oh Jeanie, you need a crock pot, it’s the best kitchen helper ever!
The aroma is the biggest benefit of using my slow cooker. Ahhhhh!
I agree!
Hey, Jenna
Some really good choices for this cold, wet winter we are experiencing. I have a sweet tooth and will particularly zero in on the berry cobbler. Thanks for the great recipes and stay warm over there in Bama–Georgia Gal
You are so welcome Georgia Gal and hurry Spring!
Jenna, all of these look yummy. I would love a bowl of potato soup and berry cobbler. Thank you for consistently sharing fabulous recipes!

Thanks so much Julie, I love the ease of cooking in a slow cooker!
Oh, yum, another great roundup of mouth watering recipes! I also love a good slow cooker meal on a cold day.
Thanks Carole, yes, tis the season for slow cooker dinners!
I forgot how much I used to enjoy cooking in my slow cooker. When I worked I would put it on before I left and come home to the aroma of a wonderful meal. Now that I’m retired, I’ve been using my Instant Pot for everything.
I love to get dinner ready early in the day, either in the slow cooker or a casserole to stick in the fridge to bake later~ I run out of energy by 5 or 6 😂 I do have an instant pot, I love the saute function and then I’ll set it to slow cook. Thanks for stopping by!
I don’t know which of these wonderful recipes to try first! Do you have a favorite?
hmmm, not really, I like them all 🙂 Thanks Mary~
Yummy Jenna…you have an arsenal of recipes today and I want to try all of them. I love using the crock pot as it is such an easy way to make a meal. Speakikng of running out of energy, I run out about noon. LOL
haha, I can so relate! Thanks Kari~
These are delicious ways to use the crockpot. It was the wedding gift I wanted most as a young bride because I knew I had two more years of college ahead of me and would need to get meals on the table after being gone all day. It lived up to its promise, and I still enjoy using it!
Thanks Linda, isn’t it such a good feeling knowing dinner is taken care of 🙂
Perfect timing! i’m putting together my menu plan for the week ahead and found so many delicious options here! Can’t wait to give these a try! Thank you!
Thank you, I hope you enjoy!
These all look so yummy Jenna – I must try the pizza! You remind me that I need to use my slow cooker more often. I tend to forget about it since it’s in the cupboard on top of the fridge. Out of sight and out of mind I guess, so thanks for the reminder and all the great recipes!
Thank you Kim! I love love my slow cooker, it is such a good feeling knowing dinner is cooking away!
Such great recipes you’ve shared, Jenna! Maybe I’ve told you this before but I use my Dutch oven as a crockpot and put it in the oven on about 225 degrees.
Hope you’re having a happy week. 😊
