Take-out Tuesday, Parmesan Sesame Puff Pastry Sticks

These puff pastry sticks are perfect to enjoy with a bowl of soup,

a salad or as an appetizer with or without a dip

They are easy to make too,

with puff pastry and seasonings you probably already have

in your pantry and fridge

First flour the work surface so that the pastry doesn’t stick to the board

Sprinkle the flour with Parmesan cheese,

Italian seasoning, {add garlic powder too if you like}

black sesame seeds and sea salt

evenly over the flour

Lay a thawed puff pastry sheet on top of the seasonings

Repeat the sprinkling process on the top of the dough

and very gently roll the dough to help the seasonings adhere,

but not hard enough for the dough to stick to the board

Now cut this into about 12 strips, using a pastry wheel or a knife

Okay now take each strip and gently twist and lay them out

on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silpat baking mat

Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown

These sound wonderful, and I will try this recipe. BUT the main thing I want to find out is how you and yours are doing over there in BAMA. Have been praying for the whole nation in general but of course the South/Southeast residents who have been hit hard by Helene. My family and I fared well, no flooding, just rain and high winds. Kept you and your readers in my prayers. If you posted news and I missed it, sorry for the request, but gotta’ know if all is well. Love to you and your loyal following–

    • Thank you Sheila, all good here but I am heart broken over all the horrible devastation and loss of life Helene caused. So glad you and yours are OK. The news seems to get worse every day. I donated to Samaritian’s Purse, I just pray these poor people get the help they need…

I haven’t made these in years, but I remember really liking them when I did. I don’t know why I never think to make of these, as they would be a wonderful way to use up extra puff pastry when I’m making rounds to use to top little pot pies. Thanks for the reminder.
