Take-out Tuesday, Cranberry Chicken

This Cranberry Chicken recipe is a classic,

it’s been around for years

The reason is not only because it tastes great,

it preps in minutes

It’s also holiday festive

and perfect for this busy time of year

Only 4 ingredients, cranberry sauce, creamy French salad dressing,

dry onion soup mix and boneless chicken

Cut the chicken breasts in half or into tenders

so the chicken can soak up lots of yummy sauce

Put the chicken in a prepared dish that is sized

to hold the chicken closely together

and top it with the dry onion soup mix

Spread the whole berry cranberry sauce over all

Then cover the whole thing with the French dressing

Cover the casserole dish and put it in a 400 degree F oven for 40 minutes

Then reduce heat to 350, uncover and bake for 20 minutes more

Serve it with rice, stuffing or potatoes and a vegetable or salad

You can also make this in a slow cooker,

cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours

Oh, Jenna–this one is a keeper, with 4 of my favorite things. I am truly a chicken woman, picking it even over a great steak. This recipe sounds wonderful and I have everything on hand except the chicken, which I will order with my next delivery order. I so love the fact that wonderful people bring things to my front door, especially during this busy holiday season–bless them all. And you too–thank you for my next menu item! Shelia AKA Georgia Gal

Hi Jenna! I have a different version of this chicken (I think mine has BBQ with the cranberry sauce), but I’m going to try your version because I have the dressing and onion soup mix. Quick and easy is the way I like to cook these days. Thank you for sharing!
