The downwside of colored pencil

is that it takes longer than other mediums,

but the fact that it is so relaxing, and easy to control,

more then makes up for it

  2. I’ve never really mastered these so thanks for this one — there are some good tips here on shading and blending.

Good morning. Jenna! Colored pencils are always a favorite of my daughter. I’m always amazed by the artwork she creates with them. You have shared some beautiful creations. The tulips are gorgeous, and the teacup with floral arrangement is so pretty. I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend!

I really LOVE those tulips, Jenna and yes indeed, colored pencils are nice and clean and you don’t even need to wash your hands after using them! Paint, on the other hand….well….I have globs of paint on EVERYTHING, my laptop, my watch strap, my kitchen sink, my water bottle that I carry around with me….it just finds its way everywhere!

Beautiful examples of your art using colored pencils. Our grands love using colored pencils and will sit and draw for hours, it seems!

    Happy August, Jenna!

I’ve basically put away all my art supplies but should dig them out one day. My hands don’t work the way they used to with Parkinson’s but I do like colored pencils as they aren’t messy. Thanks for the inspiration. 😘

The peonies are my fave and the figs are next. They remind me of the days I used to spend with my mother making our own fig preserves–so great with a hot, buttered biscuit. Thanks for the memory, Jenna! . . . and your beautiful art.

Jenna, I am so happy that you are having so much fun with your colored pencils. The art that you have made is beautiful and it’s cool that you can mix it with markers to deepen the color. The tulips are gorgeous and the teacup is so pretty but all are beautiful. I hope you are having a great summer, and thanks, as always, for sharing your wonderful talent!
