Happy Mother’s Day! A little Grandmother fun!

Sometimes I surprise Super Boy, my grandson who turns 5 this week, with some little tablescapes at his place at the island in the kitchen
He’s been having a little trouble eating vegetables lately so I thought an inspirational little tablescape might help make it more fun
I borrowed some “props” from around the house, this needlepoint sign usually hangs near the pantry
This ceramic pea pod was made by a friend of mine~it is glued on a black canvas and framed and usually hangs in the dining room
I got out some colorful accessories
and his favorite water bottle and a green spoon…The bite plate represents what we all say, “If you just try ONE BITE…”
there might be some orange jelly beans or Pirate Booty in your future!
{Pirate Booty is basically cheese puffs and it’s pretty good!}
His special “place” is ready for enjoying his veggies! {The chair needs some touching up I see…this is a busy spot!}
In October I teased him with the biggest cupcake high out of reach
This was what he found on St. Patrick’s Day…a pot of gold and the promise of a treasure hunt later
and the bunny left a messy trail on Easter…and some ”peeps” hatching on a plate
Sometimes he leaves me a little vignette too! “The authorities have surrounded some suspicious contraband on the floor!!” He is pretty hilarious and…
Yep, I get to give him back!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there, whether your babies are new or old, furry friends or all grown-up, motherhood is a lifetime job and you are much appreciated!
Super Boy’s sidekick, little brother “Big E” celebrated his 1st birthday yesterday! Just had to share this picture for Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day
Aren’t you the clever one to try and make eating a special treat. I know that challenge, especially when the effort results in the food being thrown on the floor! Happy day to you, Jenna.
HOw ADORABLE…you are the best grandma ever! Those are wonderful vignettes and isn’t that so precious he ‘plays back” I love all of our grandchildren so much and am so sad they all live away from us. Happy Mother’s day to you as well. I hope you have a beautiful day with your family.
