Gifts from the Kitchen, Halloween Treat Basket

Halloween isn’t just for kids any more, a trip into just about any store these days will be sure to yield a lavish display of Halloween goodies for all ages
One of my friends recently had back surgery and I wanted to bring her a basket full of goodies to enjoy as she recovered
My original plan was to fill it full of lotions, and girly pampering products, but as I was shopping I found myself going in a completely different direction…
A trip to Home Goods harvested this cool metal “basket” with rope handles
My friend is fun-loving and down to earth, and she has a great sense of humor… so instead of hand lotion and peppermints, yawn…
She got a witch mug, a ghost plate, and caramel popcorn!
I also found an orange striped kitchen towel, pumpkin spice candle and a jar of sweet and sour jelly pumpkin candies that were too cute to pass up!
The towel lined the bottom of the basket and I filled the mug with Baileys Chocolate Truffles [Costco] and glittery faux mini pumpkins [Pier 1 last year]
The candle, mug and jelly pumpkins went in the bottom of the basket with just enough space to tuck in the plate, a bag of caramel popcorn and and a bag of candy corn M&Ms
I added some magazines behind the plate
and tied orange chevron burlap ribbon [Hobby Lobby] on the rope handles
I also added some umbrellas and straws just for silliness
Get well soon Sally!
Sally is a very important person around here because not only is she a friend…
She is CC’s other grandmother!
And we need to keep our strength up, because CC is going to be a big sister next spring!!
It says so right on her shirt!!
Gift baskets are so much fun to make and if you don’t have a clue what to give someone, a seasonal basket is a great choice~
Thanks so much for stopping by!
