Take-out Tuesday, Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham

In the spirit of keeping things easy in the kitchen,
this glazed ham can be baked in the oven or put on the grill
As it warms, brush it occasionally
with a decadent combo of maple syrup, butter and bourbon
Multiple brushes of glaze will add more flavor than just brushing once
This is a fully cooked small half ham that came already sliced
So much easier than slicing yourself!
I highly recommend using a silicone brush
silicone brushes are easy to use and easy to clean
You can see a variety of sizes and styles on Amazon here
this recipe is adapted from Umami

Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham
Ingredients
- 1 small sliced half ham about 3 lbs.
- 1/3 cup bourbon
- 3 T real maple syrup
- 2 T butter
Instructions
- Melt butter in a small sauce pan over high heat and add bourbon and syrup.
- Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium high and let cook, stirring occasionally, until reduced and thickened, about 10 minutes.
