Super Bowl/Mardi Gras/Valentine oh my!

This year the Super Bowl, Fat Tuesday and Valentine’s Day

fall within 4 days of each other,

Feb. 11, 13 and 14

We’re going to need some festive food!

This Peanut Butter & Bacon Snack Mix will work for all three occasions

It’s a Chex cereal based snack mix,

paired with chocolate peanut butter cups, M & Ms and bacon!

You could use team colors for the M & Ms for the Super Bowl,

then change them for Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day

Praline Party Mix would work for all 3 too,

no colors involved, just a yummy snack

Make things extra festive with a little dash of bourbon

Bourbon Meatballs are a great nosh for all three occasions,

perfect football food, festive for Fat Tuesday

and romantic for Valentine’s Day

Loaded Bourbon Bleu Cheese Potato Skins

can be enjoyed for the game and Mardi Gras festivies,

and guaranteed to make your Valentine very happy!

I love to make spirals for football watching and appetizers and these

Ham & Double Cheese Spirals with Poppy Seed Mustard Butter

are my favorite and will definitely be on the menu

for the Super Bowl

Enjoy a Chili Cheese Grits Supper Bowl

while you watch the Super Bowl

You could make a Muffaletta Pie for the game

and save the leftovers for Fat Tuesday

Then make a Mardi Gras Gratin for dinner on Fat Tuesday

And make a Mardi Gras Salad to go with it

I Love You Linguini is perfect for Valentine’s Day

Scallops with Creamy Bacon Pasta will win anyone’s heart,

and it’s actually very simple to make

You can also show your love with a

Spinach & Artichoke Heart Quesadilla

All occasion Coconut Cupcakes can be decorated for any theme,

holiday or occasion

Use a decorative topper

or dye the coconut a color to match your theme

Make things festive!

  1. Great opportunities to make some party foods 🙂 Love that heart shaped quesadilla.

The sauce for the meatballs reads as a great recipe. All of these are great. Thanks, Jenna!

  3. I’m not world’s biggest football fan but when our Lions are FINALLY close (keeping my fingers crossed for today!) I’ll be there (at least today!) These all look yum. Hosting Corkies here soon so there are some good ideas here!

  4. Pam says:

Good morning, Jenna. What a great round-up of tasty dishes. I think tonight would be great for chili cheese grits. I am so happy that our Southern grits have been elevated by chefs and home chefs. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!

  5. Oh, my, you always have the BEST ideas for party food!! The bourbon meatballs look perfect for Super Bowl Sunday, as does your slider recipe from the Kentucky Derby post. I am spending way too much time reading your recipes this morning, going to get another cup of coffee and make my shopping list!

Such great ideas! I think I just gained a few pounds.🤣 I love grits and I love chili but have never thought about serving the two together. It sounds like a delicious combination. I don’t have grits often because I’m the only one in my family that likes them.🧐🤪 I don’t remember a year when so many occasions were piled in together like this. Valentines on the same day as Ash Wednesday. That’s a problem!

    • Grits and chili are a delicious combo, I think people that think they don’t like grits have never had some prepared properly. Yes these holidays and the game are way to close together and Valentines Day on Ash Wednesday is a problem!

I will have some of everything please mam! YUMMY. You sure have a way of making everything look simply divine. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    So many yummy food ideas.

  9. Kari says:

Oh my Jenna , so many recipes and so many ideas. thanks you for your inspiration and I wished I had a few of them for the KC Chiefs game against the Ravens. Go Chiefs! I can’t believe we are headed to the Super Bowl for the 4th time in 6 years. Wow especially after our rather dismal season. I just wish the Kansas Jayhawks could take a page from their book. LOL The “experts” predicted we would be a number 1 seed and our current ranking is 7 or 8…depending on who you talk to. But it is a long way to March Madness. Hugs

  10. Kim Goddard says:

Lots of great ideas here Jenna – those spirals look so good. So do the meatballs, and the scallops and creamy bacon pasta, and the I loves you linguini. Oh, and the Mardi Gras Gratin. All so delicious and thank you for sharing. I hope you enjoy all the upcoming festivities and happy Monday!

  11. Nancy says:

Oh! Oh! Oh! Both those pasta dishes are calling my name! And those cheesy grits look just as yummy!
Have a great week, Jenna! Enjoy your delicious entrees!

So many treats and temptations Jenna! I hate when the holidays and events are stacked up together 🙂

  15. Jill Kuhn says:

  16. Wow! What a great collection of recipes! Now I can’t wait for February 11, 13 & 14! Happy February!
