Gifts from the Kitchen, Holiday Butters & Butter Pecan Pumpkin Dip

Some elves dropped by and helped make some quick and easy flavored butters for you to enjoy or to give as a gift, plus a sweet and savory Butter Pecan Pumpkin Dip.
We really enjoyed this dip on Thanksgiving and it’s super simple to make. The bacon is optional, but everything’s better with bacon right? It really compliments the pumpkin, but this dip is equally good without it.

BUTTER PECAN PUMPKIN DIP
Ingredients
- 8 oz Butter Pecan Spread* [Williams Sonoma]
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 4 oz. low fat cream cheese softened
- 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled [optional]
- *make your own Butter Pecan Spread or Maple Pecan Butter by combining
- 1 stick butter softened
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 T maple syrup [Butter Pecan recommended]
- 1 T brown sugar
Instructions
- Combine and enjoy with crackers, pretzels or crudities. Flip crackers by Nabisco are really good! Can be made ahead
Flavored butters are such a treat to have, and they are so simple to make. Try this Maple Pecan Butter on your breakfast pancakes or french toast for a real treat~
Softened butter, chopped pecans and good maple syrup…

MAPLE PECAN BUTTER
Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter softened
- 1/8 cup maple syrup [Michele’s Butter Pecan recommended]
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Place butter into a shallow bowl and add pecans and syrup. Mash well with a fork to combine.
Cranberry butter is so colorful for the holiday season. Just take a little of your favorite homemade cranberry sauce [not the canned kind] and mix it with some softened unsalted butter. Add walnuts if you want some crunch.

CRANBERRY BUTTER
Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter softened
- 2 T homemade cranberry sauce [or good quality jarred not canned]
- 1/8 cup chopped walnuts [optional]
Instructions
- Mash together with a fork.
- Taste and adjust seasonings [sugar, salt, more cranberry] if necessary.
- Add walnuts if desired. Makes 1/2 cup
I hope you enjoy jazzing up your butter and this pumpkin pecan dip!
