Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful Dads!
We are celebrating Father’s Day with our Annual Friends and Family weekend, with our BFFs plus our son who will be without his little sidekicks as they are away at camp
My son is the head chef on beach weekends and together we planned the menu, keeping things delicious yet incredibly simple
It is a Manly Menu, but there is a lot of fruit and salads for lighter options
HH & I will be busy saying goodbyes today, and doing general clean up, but I wanted to give you a peek at the recipes we enjoyed and some new ones coming up very soon
Key Lime Cheesecake Jars go together several days ahead of time and are easy to transport and ready to serve
Pineapple Cashew Coleslaw is fast and easy with coleslaw & salad mixes and a unique bottled dressing combination
Pesto Parmesan Biscuits are quick to toss together with canned biscuit dough pieces, pesto and Parmesan
Peach Bread Pudding was made last weekend, partially baked, and frozen. Then returned to oven to finish baking right before serving. This can be served either for breakfast or dessert
The other recipes are old favorites you can access on the links below
Bacon Bleu Cheese Butter is just what it sounds like, bacon mixed with softened butter and bleu cheese crumbles. It’s great on grilled steak, burgers, vegetables, french bread, sandwiches
Pantry Potatoes is hash brown potato casserole made with staple pantry items, getting a flavor kick from Ranch Dressing Mix. I made this last weekend and froze it unbaked, so all I had to do was pop it in the oven
Coconut Tempura Shrimp with Orange Marmalade Dipping Sauce is our friends’ favorite and always requested
HHjr takes the fryer outside and does the cooking on the deck and keeps the kitchen neat and clean
These tempura shrimp are light, and can be held in a warm oven and reheat well also
The ribs were sauced with Peach Whiskey Glaze from Stonewall Kitchens and the garlic bread was made in a flash using Stonewall Kitchens Roasted Garlic Bread Spread
Bushwacker Ice Cream is and adaption of Bushwacker Pie, just the creamy filling with out the cookie crust
I made the Sausage Gravy Biscuit Bake on Saturday because it’s my son’s absolute favorite and only takes 15 minutes to prep
All I had to do was pop it in the oven this morning to give the Dads a breakfast treat
Happy Father’s Day!!
Here are some other things we’ve enjoyed for our Annual Family & Friends weekend in years past
A Hot Dog Bar is fun and easy for lunch, grilled hot dogs with a buffet of toppings
One year we had Burgers & Blue Moon Cupcakes, our friends favorite beer turned into dessert
Breakfast for Dessert Pie is made ahead and kept in the freezer

Seeing the sausage gravy biscuit bake reminds me of when Kevin was pretty small and we went out for breakfast at a town maybe 30 miles away. It was an old Depot and he shocked us when he ordered the sausage, biscuits and gravy. It just was never part of our breakfast routine! I’ll have to ask if he still does!

It’s truly a Southern dish, but it’s worth the calorie spurge for special occasions! >

I’ve only had sausage and gravy when I visited the south, and boy was it yummy. Love how you keep your menu organized Jenna. Have a great week.

The sausage and gravy sounds icky to many, but it’s basically just milk, butter, flour and sausage, and soooo good! >

Jenna, I am surprised that people are not lined up outside your door. You are the hospitality queen! Who would not want to spend the weekend at the beach and eat all this fabulous food?

What a great Fathers Day celebration. That is a beautiful catch of the day that your fisherman have brought to the pier, there is nothing like the fresh fish. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Full Plate Thursday. Have a great week and come back soon!
