Recipe Box, Sausage Ball Biscuit Bites

This recipe is a version of the ever popular sausage balls and perfect for breakfast, brunch, appetizers or tailgating

3 ingredients, and it couldn’t be any easier

Canned biscuits, maple sausage,* cheddar cheese

*or use regular or hot sausage

Mix cheese into sausage and roll into balls

Flatten biscuits** with your hands and cut into 1/4s

Stretching dough with your fingers, tuck into a sprayed muffin tins and top with a sausage ball

**I used Grands, large biscuits, but if you want to use regular size canned biscuits, only cut biscuits in half

After baking at 375 degrees for 10 minutes, you will have irresistible cheesy bites

Some of mine slipped around a little, but no worries, they were still gobbled up!

I adapted this recipe from Plain Chicken

Sausage Ball Biscuit Bites

1 can Pillsbury Grands biscuits, or any canned biscuits* {you will have 2 biscuits leftover}

1/2 lb. Maple sausage, {or regular or hot}

1 cup grated sharp cheddar

Spray mini muffin pans.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix cheese into sausage {fingers work best} and then roll into small balls.  Flatten 6 raw biscuits and cut into 1/4s.   Place dough quarters into muffin tins, stretching to fit tin cavity forming a shell.  Place one sausage ball in dough.  Bake for 10 minutes or until dough is golden.

Serve warm

*if you use smaller biscuits, split biscuits in 1/2 instead of 1/4s

Bake leftover biscuits whole and save for another breakfast, or increase sausage and cheese amounts and make 8 more biscuit bites

This is a keeper!
