These 2 easy peasy recipes will have you covered for just about any occasion!
These squares of sausage, cheese and baked dough are perfect for game day snacking, breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner!
This is one of our new favorite recipes, it’s inspired by a Pillsbury classic floating all over Pinterest, but I amped it up a few notches with Maple Bacon Aioli and Vermont White Cheddar
Stonewall Kitchen Maple Bacon Aioli available at upscale markets and on line here
You can also substitute 1/2 cup mayonnaise and 1/2 cup cooked crumbled maple bacon
The other main ingredients are maple sausage
Vermont White Cheddar Cheese
And crescent roll dough
I used Trader’s Joe’s and Pillsbury’s new Crescent Roll Grands
I put the Pillsbury Grands Crescent roll dough on the bottom, figuring it would bake up larger than the Trader Joe’s brand
Spread the dough with a thin layer of Maple Bacon Aioli and top it with cooked sausage crumbles
Then top the sausage with cheese, sliced or grated. Substitute any cheese you like, but I recommend a sharp white or extra sharp cheddar for best flavor
Now top it with the other can of crescent roll dough {or even better, a dough sheet} and pinch the edges to seal
I did a terrible job of pinching the edges together and was worried when I pulled it out of the oven
But once I cut it into squares it didn’t really matter, it was hardly noticeable, and they tasted so good nobody cared, they were gobbling them up!

Note: I use Maple Bacon Aioli for so many things, and even though it’s a little pricey, a little goes a long way. It’s great on sandwiches, hamburgers, as a sauce for flatbread. Just about anything you use mayonnaise for can be improved by using this flavorful aioli instead. Click on the recipe titles below for more ways to use this aioli
