Recipe Box, Fleming’s Blue Cheese Dressing or Dip

Warning:

If you don’t like blue cheese, come back tomorrow,

but if you love blue cheese as I do, prepare to drool…

Recently I went to dinner with a friend to Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, an upscale chain restaurant with traditional steak house menu items of prime meats, seafood and fabulous side dishes.  Opting for something lighter than a full steak dinner, we ordered the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing…

And we went directly to heaven!

This dressing was so good we both wanted to drink it

I’ve tried making blue cheese dressing many times

but never could get it to taste any better than bottled versions

My life has been transformed!

The first thing I did when I got home was

Google search Fleming’s Blue Cheese Dressing

I found a recipe on Sweet Leisure here

claiming to be the real deal

Time for a taste test

Yes!! This is it!!

Warning, you will have cravings…

Try it with BBQ potato chips, swoon

It would be killer on steak too…

Jenna, love your opening sentence. I’m guilty, I don’t like blue cheese dressing, I don’t hate it either. But, Jim loves it so this is a recipe keeper. I will surprise him with homemade and I know he will be grateful to you. No more bottles……………

  3. Jenna, I have been to Fleming’s several times, but haven’t had their blue cheese dressing. This looks so delicious, and I will definitely make it. Thanks for sharing and finding the perfect copycat recipe! Happy Thursday!

Another take on blue cheese dressing that sounds so tasty! I think you would love this version, too. It doesn’t call for mayonnaise, sugar or oil. It’s divine!! I make this wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and serve it with our prime rib for Christmas dinner. The addition of shallots, touch of bacon and red onion/cherry tomatoes knocks it over the top!
