Take-out Tuesday, Asparagus Alfredo Ravioli Bake

There are so many wonderful fresh pastas widely available now
Grab one that appeals to you, add a prepared sauce,
a fresh vegetable, and perhaps cooked bacon or other flavorful protein,
and dinner is ready
I used fresh asparagus, alfredo sauce and bacon
with Trader Joe’s asparagus ravioli
Cook the pasta according to package directions,
but drain it when just al dente,
because it will cook further during the final bake
Choose a prepared pasta sauce
These are all some of my favorites…
I did not drown my ingredients in sauce,
Using a scant amount will keep things moist, yet not too heavy
Using a cooking oil sprayed baking dish,
start building your ravioli bake with a thin layer of sauce,
then a layer of cooked ravioli,
next top with vegetable and protein of choice and repeat
Don’t forget a little shaved Parmesan!
You can control the amount of meat, cheese and sauce
With only a scant amount sauce and bacon,
this version had plenty of flavor but wasn’t heavy or calorie laden
Simple and delicious
Prepare it early in the day and then bake later
Serve with a salad and enjoy
And leftovers {covered} reheat beautifully 😋

Asparagus Alfredo Ravioli Bake
Ingredients
- 10 oz package fresh ravioli {I used asparagus, but use any ravioli you like}
- 1/4-1/2 cup Alfredo sauce or more to taste*
- 4 slices crispy bacon broken into pieces
- 16-20 asparagus spears cooked crisp tender, cut in 1 inch pieces
- shaved Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook ravioli according to package directions, removing when they are just al dente, to drain, about 3-4 minutes.
- Spray a baking dish {sized to fit the amount of ravioli you’re using} with cooking oil spray. Drizzle a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of dish. Top with half of ravioli, and half of asparagus and bacon. Drizzle with a little sauce, a sprinkle of Parmesan and then repeat, ending with a drizzle of Alfredo and Parmesan on top. Can be refrigerated at this point for baking later.
- Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes, or until heated through. Serve with a crisp green salad

Jenna, how I wish Trader Joe’s was closer to me. Ravioli is a favorite and I believe the hubby would ever like asparagus in this delicious dish! Thanks for sharing ☔️☔️☔️
Thanks Pam, ugh I can’t believe it’s raining again! Next time you go to TJs look for their corn ravioli, it’s really good too 🙂
This sounds amazing, Jenna! I don’t have a Trader Joe near me, but surely I come up with something really close to this dish!
I’d like to share this on my blog in a couple of days, if you don’t mind.
Of course Robin, I would be flattered! As for the ravioli, you can use really any type you want, I think any choice would be great…Trader Joe’s didn’t have the asparagus kind last time I went, I’m hoping they will restock before Spring is over. I think mushroom would be yummy with this combo too, I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Talk about simple and delicious looking! This looks like something you would spend $15 for at a restaurant. I love the addition of asparagus to the dish – makes it perfect for spring!
I have been craving asparagus lately, I’ve been throwing it in everything! Thanks Jacqueline!
YUM! I love anything with asparagus! AWESOME recipe! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Me too Cindy! Such a versatile vegetable!
This looks brilliant and delish. I need to stock up at our next visit to the kids when we always go to TJs. The good asparagus is coming now — this is perfect!
Thanks Jeanie, the asparagus is so irresistible right now!
I love Ravioli and the photos are making me drool. Lovely recipe. Thank you for sharing!😊
thank you, that’s quite a compliment!
Totally worth…:)
Boy, does this look good. We don’t have a Trader Joe’s near us, but I will check out Kroger’s or our Aldi’s for these ready made pasta packages. Looks really tasty, especially with the bacon and asparagus-yum! 😋 Thanks Jenna.
Thanks Cyndi, you can find yummy fresh pastas everywhere these days, even Target has a good selection and the combinations and possibilities are endless…such a great way to put together an easy and tasty dinner!

I would love a Trader Joe’s close by. But I’m sure I could come up with something. Hugs! Or should I say… Elbow Bumps!
ha ha, you’re right, elbow bumps are the new hugs and hand shakes I guess!
I love how easy this is. You are using some of my favorite ingredients. A delicious looking dish. When I cook asparagus, my dogs line up to eat some too. 😃
Really, that’s hilarious! How sweet!
This looks delicious on any day, but with the Corona Virus scare it might make a good alternative to going out to eat, so good but so easy.
that’s right, so good and sooo easy!
This looks sooo yummy, Jenna! I like that you added asparagus and bacon! 👍 I making an easy soup tonite that uses the refrigerated cheese tortellini, a can of white beans and tomatoes. I add spinach to the chicken broth base. It is dinner in a bowl! ❤️
