Gifts from the Kitchen, Last Minute Gifts!

Okay, so here we are 5 days until Christmas!

There is still plenty of time to come up with a gift or two for last minute giving

5 days doesn’t leave us much time for making things,

but there are a few things you can whip up quickly!

First shop your house~

Be on the lookout for glass jars, baskets, flower pots, bottles…

or even a pretty tea cup, mug or candle holder

You can tuck a few goodies inside

and have an instant and delightful gift!

Paint glass jars with a simple pattern, add a ribbon

and fill the jar with special candies, mints or opt for

healthy Chia Seeds {include a card with how to use them}

Holiday Tree Jars

If you don’t have time to make a filling, leave the jar empty

and attach a tag with suggestions of what to fill it with…

like Bacon Salt or Everything Seasoning and include the recipe

Secure a pretty ribbon around a painted jar

and add some real or faux blooms

Bloomin’ Ball Jars

Fill a jar with a homemade snack mix,

like Christmas Chex Mix, Jubliee Crunch, Praline Party Mix

or make your own quick combo snack mix like

Wild Snax here

Decoupage an empty bottle with Christmas paper,

or any pretty paper or tissue, it will dry overnight

and then add a few blooms or stems of holly or greens

Take a plain white plate or platter and add some “bling” with paint,

pieces of old jewelry, and beads

Gold Glamour Tray

Gift it as is

or fill it with store bought or homemade goodies like

White Chocolate Butterscotch Cake Bars

or a Last Minute Lemon Loaf Cake

Fill a basket with citrus fruit,

it’s at it’s peak right now

and the pretty colors and scents are a gift in themselves

Citrus Gift Basket

Paint or decorate a flower pot and gift it with seed packets,

gardening gloves or an herb plant from the grocery store

Weathered Flower Pot

Speaking of the grocery store,

you can find unexpected and great basket fillers there

I recently got an amaryllis bulb, holiday chocolates,

a cozy pair of sock slippers and a miniature Christmas tree

and put them into a pretty box I already had…

A festive gift for a special friend!

And remember, if you don’t have time to shop

or if you simply want to stay safe,

you can order your groceries, including special items like flowers

and have them delivered to your door

DD sent me flowers, coffee, and cake bites for Mother’s Day

via Shipt when I was at the beach last May…

very brilliant and much appreciated!

Even a simple gift of a jar of favorite BBQ sauce and a spice rub,

is most welcome and can be a gift for a whole family to enjoy

For the beach lover, how about a summer scented candle

{grocery store, Target, Walmart} tied up with a seashell and a paper umbrella

No wrapping paper?

No problem, use a pretty kitchen or hand towel and secure it with a ribbon

I hope you have a very Merry week!!
