The Organized Life, August Paint Bucket

Welcome to August!
August is my least favorite month,
it’s too hot, things in the garden start looking brown and sad…
Now’s the time to enjoy the last days of summer produce
and the carefree days of summer!

The theme/flavor of the month for August is Keeping Cool

Those summer dishes are looking really inviting! I need to try that tomato tart. Here it starts to feel like Fall…and the July we had just rain 🙁 A mild summer this year..
Thank you Angie, it is hot hot hot in the South 😅
Jenna, the August paint bucket has some wonderful sounding food. I so agree August weather is usually less than ideal. I know I would like sugar cookie fruit tacos!
Happy August!
Thanks Pam, I have wanted to try the sugar cookie tacos for a while, they sound like a refreshing treat!
Lots of staying cool recipes here. Thanks Jenna
Thanks so much for including me among these great recipes. (I hit the send button too quick.)
You’re so welcome, the muffins sound so good!
I agree, August is the worst month, too much heat and everything is drying up. Fun recipes to distract us!
Thanks Carole!
With your list, I think you’ll have August looking much better!
Thank you Rita, where has summer gone???
Zoodle Pasta Pie sounds like a winner to me:@) Yep, August and February… Ugh!
Thanks Lynn, it’s too hot to cook much!
I’m hoping to make that peachy pecan bread when I get home tomorrow or Tuesday — I scored some fabulous peaches at the market and I’m dying to try this recipe. I haven’t done these little breads for awhile, but it seemed all winter I had a huge stash of them in the freezer. Maybe it’s time to start again!
Let me know how it turns out!
Great ideas! I’m trying those Zucchini & Pimiento Cheese Squares, I happen to have a lot of zucchini right now!
That’s one of my favorite recipes Dorothy, I hope you like it!
Oh, it’s definitely on my list and bookmarked!
Yum Jenna! August is my least favorite month too. 🙂
Yes, it’s too hot and my yard always looks dreadful. We’ve had so much rain this summer it should help that…
For someone who doesn’t like August, you certainly turned out some delicious looking treats!
haha, thanks Linda!
Your August recipes look delish. 😀 I’m trying to keep cool and make overnight oatmeal more as well as main course salads.
I haven’t made overnight oatmeal in ages, that sounds so good!
Yes please to everything!
That slice of pie watercolor is absolutely beautiful!
Happy August!
Thanks so much Nancy!
Good grief. I am sitting here starving while looking at these wonderful foodie pictures. What wonderful dishes you serve dear lady. Happy August to you and your family. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thanks so much Cindy! Have a great week!
Nummy entertaining and great recipes also. The paintings are so delicious looking also–that key lime pie had my mouth watering! We are enjoying the produce and all the fresh cooking that goes with it! Hugs, Sandi
Thank you Sandi, I love summer corn!
Jenna, your August paint bucket has some delicious sounding recipes! It’s only 9;29 am here, and already I’m hungry! I am not a fan of August weather either, and long for fall. But it is true that each month has it’s own charms and blessings. Happy August!
Thank you Lidy!
I am with you Jenna on the August attitude!! My flowers are calling out for more water! You always present the most wonderful recipes. The peaches and pecan bread is calling my name!
Very pretty table and great recipes Jenna!!!
Thank you Shirley, yes my flowers have given up!
