Blueberries, lemons, & limes…
It is definitely good ole Summertime!

There’s something about the colors yellow, lime and blue
When they’re all paired together, it sings Summer to me,
does it to you?
It’s too hot and buggy on the patio

Indoor dining is the way to go

Hydrangeas, alstromerias, mums,
and green berries that look like limes,
They just say welcome, come in, let’s dine!

We’ll start with a pitcher of “grown up” ice tea

The drink is called a Firefly and it’s as yummy as can be!
We’ll have cool Blueberry Chicken Salad Lettuce Wraps
they are nice and light
And for dessert, there is Triple Lemon Blueberry Bundt Cake
for a lovely sweet bite!

Happy table, fun, bright colors, and a happy meal. I would love to be there!
Thank you Rita, I would love to have you!
Pretty table! It is too hot here to eat outside right now too.
Thanks Carole, stay cool!
Jenna, I love all the bright and happy colors of your table! Eating inside is definitely a must in this heat and humidity. Have a wonderful day and stay cool!
Thank you Pam, I hope you have a great week!
I really love those show plates with blue prints.
Thank you Angie, they make so many cute melamine plates these days!
I want to go to your house, sit at your table, and eat blueberries!
Thank you Dorothy, come on down!
Lovely summer dishes and perfect for this weather which does demand dining inside.
Thank you Linda, have a great week!
Pretty summer colors and yes, they feel like summertime if the outside temps don’t remind you. Lovely centerpiece Jenna and I really like how you elevated it with the cake stand. Flowers and plate patters also pretty for summer. The food looks amazing, love light dishes for the hot days. Your cake is perfect for your summertime meal, light and refreshing. Inside is my middle name with this heat! Can’t believe how fast summer is passing by, enjoy…..
Thanks Emily, it seems this summer has been hotter than usual! I can’t believe it’s already the middle of July and the kids will be going back to school in just a few weeks!
Your blueberry wraps sound really good Jenna! And my son’s blueberries are ripe right now:@)
Wow, between your garden and your son’s garden you guys are set!
Loving your beautiful and cheery table Jenna. Girl, I am with you on the indoor dining right now too. So hot and muggy in my neck of the woods. Now I am sitting here thinking about blueberries I have in my freezer! I might just need to whip up something with them this week. Hope your week is wonderful to you dear Jenna. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thanks Cindy, I’m sure you will cook up something wonderful, stay cool!
What a happy table. And elevating the pitcher centerpiece makes it stand out perfectly. Such beautiful blue and yellow!
Happy Sunday!
Thanks so much Nancy, it’s hard not to love blue and yellow, such a happy combo!
Lovely table Jenna. I do adore those colors together. Cute painted pitcher. Love the colorful plates too. Your menu sounds refreshing. I wish we did not have the darn bugs. Enjoy your summer.
Thanks so much Linda, have a great week!
Such a beautiful table, Jenna. Love the centerpiece, and what a smart idea to elevate the pitcher on the MC pedestal platter. Can’t wait to jump over and read about the painted pitcher, it’s another smart idea on your part. Love it all!
Thanks so much Judy! I hope you’re keeping cool, have a great week~
This is so light and airy — I really do love the look! I sometimes forget your table is a glass top because I’m so attracted to your settings but I really am happy to see the beautiful pedestol underneath — it’s such a pretty, clean look. (If I had that and you looked below, you’d probably see shoes!) Love the dishes and colors you used.
Thank you Jeanie! I love my glass topped table but sometimes photographing it is tricky 🙂 I hope you have a great week~
Love your blueberry theme. Your table and flowers are lovely and I’m intrigued with the blueberry chicken salad.
Thanks so much, and for the blueberry chicken salad wraps I just added blueberries to my favorite purchased chicken salad and put it in a lettuce leaf 🙂
Nicely done . . . great design eye!
Thank you!
I love this color combination! It looks so bright and summary. Your choice of flowers is just perfect. Everything looks so beautiful.
Thanks so much Pattie!
Lovely fun table. I love the colors and it totally evokes summer feels. The flower arrangement is gorgeous! Happy summer. XO- MaryJo
Thanks so much Mary Jo!
Such a bright and summery table Jenna! Love the melamine plates and the flowers are gorgeous – what are the ones with the lime berries? I don’t think I’ve ever seen those before. Even here in Calgary its been too hot to eat outside – only inside with the AC on. I’m guessing its even hotter there! The chicken salad with blueberries on lettuce leaves sounds just about perfect! I hope you’re managing to stay cool down there!
Thanks Kim, there are so many cute melamine plates these days, and they are affordable and durable {I live with a house full of boys 😂} I don’t know what the lime berry stems are, I found them among the flowers at the grocery store and thought they were so pretty! Sorry you’re hot up there too… summer time!!
Wonderful Post
Thanks
Thank you!
“Grownup ice tea”!!! Yeah, baby! That’s the stuff!!!!!!! And when you do chicken salad lettuce wraps, your waistline can justify the blueberry lemon cake!!! Man…it’s been a long time since I’ve had lemon cake. Now I want to bake one, but I just saw my next-door neighbors leave for St. Louis. If they’re not here to eat half of it, I can’t bake it!😑 I have a load of blueberries I just purchased, too!, that NEED to be used so I don’t have to process them for freezing!!!
haha, I know what you mean, if you’re going to bake a cake you better have someone to give most of it away to!
