Run for the Roses Recipes
The Kentucky Derby is May 4, put on a May Bonnet and
“Run for the Roses” with these recipes!

First you’ll want to sip a Mint Julep from a Blooming Wine Glass
and stir it with a Kentucky Derby Hat Straw
Decorate your buffet with a large vase of roses~
a silver champagne cooler looks just like a trophy!
Plan your gathering around a large flat screen TV for watching the race

Serve Southern classic Derby Day food
Pimiento Cheese & Sausage Puffs are always a hit

Nibble on Pork & Pineapple Hand Pies,
puff pastry filled with shredded BBQ pork and pineapple tidbits

Kentucky Derby Bourbon Meatballs are simmered in the slow cooker
in a bourbon sauce and will disappear quickly

Maple Bourbon Glazed Ham can be baked in the oven or on the grill

Peachy Bourbon BBQ Chicken is cooked in a slow cooker
and pairs wonderfully with Baked Cheese Grits

Pecan Pie is a must for dessert
