Fearless Friday, Summer Decor with a Paint Brush
Posted by the Painted Apron on May 10, 2024 · 20 Comments
In March we talked about Spring Decorating Ideas with Paint~
now it’s time to think about Summer,
Grab a Summer Sipper and let’s explore ideas for decorating
Once again a paint brush can help you decorate!
Memorial Day is the unofficial beginning of Summer in the USA,
so it’s time to get out the red, white and blue!
An Uncle Sam Hat Vase is a perfect way
to display pretty red & white blooms

Perhaps you have a pot that you don’t use/like anymore
and you’re thinking about giving it away…
Give it new life with your paint brush and a little bling!
I call this a Mermaid Pot because the painted swirls
around the bottom remind me of mermaid tails

Paint some Tropical Glasses for your Summer drinks
You can paint a pineapple, a hibiscus bloom,
and a watermelon slice with just a few strokes

Paint Placemats to match your Summer dishes

Use them in centerpieces and vignettes

Welcome guests by the front door
with a Summery Seahorse board with shells

Painted Flag Bottles can be hung with ornaments for a patriotic vignette

Inexpensive charger plates from the craft store
can be painted with firecrackers for the 4th of July

Upcycle a bottle with paint, sea glass and sand dollar shells

You can make all kinds of Seaside Tabletop Glassware
with shells, beads, sea glass and paint

Sand dollars make great stars on a board painted like a flag

Paint a platter or a bucket for your Summer Seafood Picnic
Shrimp Buckets are great for peel and eat shrimp peels

Here comes Summer!

Thank you Pam and Happy Mother’s Day weekend!
I’m appreciating your sand dollar art and sea glass too!
Thank you Mary, summertime fun!
Another fun and informative post. That stemware is gorgeous! But my big take away from this post was your painting that plant pot. I have a large cobalt blue plant pot that goes with nothing on my deck. I love it, it’s a great size, but the blue has always bothered me. It never occurred to me to paint it. Thanks for that!
Thank you Pattie, happy painting!
You take the ordinary and turn it into something special…love it.
Thank you so much Karen!
All of these are cute, but I LOVE the tropical glassware! They scream colorful fun.
Thank you Linda, as you can probably tell, I am excited about summer!
