Recipe Box, Grillin’ & Chillin’ Vacation Week Menu
Posted by the Painted Apron on July 14, 2016 · 19 Comments

Restaurants are impossibly crowded at dinner time on the coast, and with little ones it isn’t really an option to eat out at night. Sometimes we’ll boat to lunch, but we really prefer to just grill and chill..
The disadvantage of being a lifestyle blogger with a family of foodies, is that they have high expectations!
That’s okay, the guys did most of the cooking and everyone helped clean up. Even the men know their way around a grocery store, so we take turns shopping. We had a week packed with good food, but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the kitchen
Everything is easy to prepare, old favorites with a few new ones that will post soon
The recipes highlighted in gold bold are new ones that I will be sharing soon

One thing that keeps dinner simple is to stock the freezer with goodies from Omaha Steaks– not only do they have a variety of meats, they have sides, appetizers and desserts too
We love their burgers and bacon wrapped filets. It’s nice to know there’s something in the freezer to throw on the grill 🍔 We tried the pork and bacon burgers last week, but they weren’t as good as the regular beef burgers and we couldn’t taste and bacon. HH & I also recently had the Chicken Fried Chicken with white gravy and that was really good!
Watch their website for specials and free shipping deals and stock up
This is not a sponsored post, just sharing what we like!

[…] Here are 2 easy peasy seafood recipes we enjoyed during the 4th of July week […]
Your menu for the week is infused with nutrition, tastiness and variety! I love it all, especially that pie, but I do have a sweet tooth:)
Thank you for joining us today at TOHOT!
Jemma
Jenna, your organization inspires me! I always love all of your recipes, I guess, I am a little jealous over your access to wonderful Gulf seafood. I am particularly fond of snapper and this looks delicious! Happy Thursday at the beach!
Oh my goodness! I am coming over to stay for a week! Wow, what a menu! We are lucky to get a couple of meals! Glad hubby isn’t reading this! To die for week!
Thanks Jacqueline! It was a tasty week, but I must admit, when it’s just the 2 of us, we sometimes just have a grilled cheese sandwich 🙂 >
That inside out berry pie looks so inviting ♥

thank you! When this was in our freezer I was dreaming about it constantly and I don’t really even like this type of dessert, let me know if you try it! >
Yum it all looks so good. Thank you for sharing.
thanks Michelle, our family likes to eat! >
Everything looks great, it’s so hot right now the nachos would be my choice:@)
It’s official – your family is so lucky and very spoiled. Can I join in? This all looks amazing!
Happy Thoughts of Home Jenna. 🙂
Ha! I will tell them you said so!! >
Whew! what a great week of eating. You are organized but how fun to have it all written down and do it again next year without having to plan again. I love all the pics too. Your family is blessed.
Thank you Bonnie, I promise it was pretty effortless, but there is no way we would do it the same next year, my group always wants something new and different! Luckily everyone loves to help, so we have a lot of fun planning 🙂 >
What a fantastic menu! I can’t wait to try the inside out pie and coleslaw.
Dang! It’s time to go to bed, and I’m hungry all over again! Amazing yumminess!
Your family eats so well, especially for a holiday week Jenna! It’s been oppressively hot here and I can’t even think about turning on the oven and my hubby said yesterday was too hot to grill! Thank goodness for rotisserie chicken from the grocery store 🙂
Too hot to grill! Desperate Times! >
I want to come to your house for dinner. Every day sounds wonderful!
