Tablescapes, The Witch is In!

It’s Autumn Tablescape Blog Hop week!
When sweet Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate suggested this hop, she said we could do anything Autumn, Halloween or Thanksgiving…{see all the links at the end of this post]
Since Autumn is slow coming to the deep South, I’m afraid I went a little rogue with my post today, and did not do a wonderful fall tablescape, full of fall foliage, pumpkins, and fine china
I can’t quite concentrate yet, on setting an autumn table for family and friends, or think of Thanksgiving…
I have to get in a little Halloween mischief first…nothing says fall better than a spider or two!
What could be more fun than visiting a witch today and see how she sets her table!
Welcome my pretties! Come in, come in!
I have so much to show you but before we begin
Set your worries aside and proceed with a grin!
I’m so glad you found my house today
It’s on the corner of Spooky Street and Witches Way
Look for the parking sign by the sparkly broom, I’ve left you a spot, there’s just enough room
What you don’t have a sparkly broom?? It’s THE lastest thing, you must get one soon!
October is on the horizon my dear,
My most favorite-est month of the very whole year!
I’ve been decorating and dusting my cobwebs for you
Brewing potions, and spells, there’s so much to do!
I’m so glad you could stop by for a bite
Your place is all set, no worries no fright
The cauldron of soup is bubbling away
It’s Cream of Spider, the soup of the day!
Don’t mind those creeping witches, they’re just passing through,
When they found I was cooking, they feared being tossed in the stew!
I’ve tidied my desk, it was quite the mess
I’ve begun making a list, for my very next dish
Help yourself to an apple
They’re not poison I promise
I might be a witch, but I’m really quite honest
I’m one of the good ones you see,
You’ve heard of the good witch, well, that would be me!
Have some Love Potion, it’s there by the crow
He’s blind as a bat…, he’ll never know!
Stock up on sweet eats,
It’s almost time for Trick or Treat!
Don’t forget your striped tights
And polka dot shoes
With your sparkly broom, you’ll be making the news!
Thank you for your visit!
Be sure to visit all the wonderful autumn tables by my talented Blog Hop friends!

Jenna, Can you hear my cackle of glee? I love all your bewitching details…you know my cauldron has bubbling for weeks and weeks and I have a new pair of striped tights! I must scare up a new broom or some sparkles for mine. I hope you’ll share your recipe for Cream of Spider Soup~ I like mine garnished with some dried Bat Wings )
Of course, bat wings would be THE perfect garnish!! >
How fun good witch Jenna! So creative. Love the witch runner with the dangling legs!
Thanks Johanne, I don’t know what it is about witch legs, but I just think they are so much fun!
>
Oh my goodness, Jenna! You’ve pulled out ALL the stops for a bewitching party, not just a tablescape! Halloween must be your all-time favorite fete! It’s all so adorable, I don’t know which vignette would be my favorite. Of course, I love that apple stand ;), but that witch leg cake stand sure is cute, and so is the plate stack. So many cute details, all of them.
Thanks Rita, I am a sucker for the cute side of Halloween, but not the gory stuff! >
Jenna, your Halloween decor is adorable! My kids would love this! You thought of very little detail! You are so creative! Happy Fall, and I hope that you have a wonderful day!!!
Thank you Shannon! I am finally in a fall mood, it was a cool 64 this morning after months of being HOT! >
Jenna, I knew there would be a poem, but you went over the broom! This is so cute and creative. All the kids including adults love this for sure…even the cream of spider soup! Your details are amazing, my friend! Such fun! Pam @ Everyday Living
Thank you Pam! I am forever trying to explain to my grandsons why I get decorations out so early 🙂 They think I’m nutty I’m sure! >
Your home i just adorable! Those two little bears holding the pumpkins? Yeah I need those in my life LOL Those are the sweetest thing I’ve seen. Loving the touches of fall and halloween you added to your home and table Jenna, it’s gorgeous.
Thanks Christine, I’ve had those bears forever, can’t even remember where I got them! >
How absolutely sweet and adorable. I loved looking at all of the fantastic Halloween items. They all are so fun and amusing. I was so excited to see more with each picture. I could go for some wine with the spider soup. I love your collection, including the candy dishes, runners, wine glasses and your sparkling broom. You are so creative. I felt young and I wanted to go trick or treating….if only for a moment. Truly a child’s and adult’s delight!
Thank you Marsha, I love the fun and cute side of Halloween, and tend to get carried away! When I was a child I thought trick or treating was better than Christmas! >
You have really Halloween pegged perfectly. You have decked your home with so many cute Halloween decorations. I especially love your table, I wish we could see more details of your table, it looked so cute! Thanks so much for being a party of the Autumn Tablescape Blog Hop!
Thanks Chloe, I do hope it’s ok that I did Halloween, I have already posted several fall pumpkin tables in the past few weeks so wanted to do something different…as for the table, it is actually the desk in my painting studio…I was trying to disguise it! I did try to show all the details of the place setting for 1. Thanks so much for hosting and herding us! Sorry for all the link confusions, we’ll all do better next time 🙂 You are the hostess with the mostest! >
Jenna, I think your Autumn Tablescape is really pretty. And I can’t even begin to think about how cute all the Halloween decorations are. Do you have a recipe for Cream of Spider soup? Good to be with you for the Autumn Tablescape Blog Hop.
Ha, thanks Carol, I just might have to come up with that recipe 🙂 Yes, we have a fun and talented group!! >
I absolutely love the chair! Did you make the cover? Have a great day.
Thanks Lynn! I did make the cover, you can see the how to here https://thepaintedapron.com/2013/03/28/creations-chair-dress-up/

It was like playing house, I had a ball! Thanks Sandra-
Ha, ha, I love the Troll dolls! I had a ton of them, even a house, when I was a kid:@)
Yeah, they’re so ugly they’re cute! I saved them from when my kids were little I guess 🙂
How fun! I just loved my visit here on the blog hop as it was such a different take and a nice surprise! So many fantastic details and gorgeous Halloween designs! And then there is your poem perfectly matched to each picture! What talent you have! I’m going back to take another look at all the witchy wonders!
Thank you Lori! Your comment is much appreciated as I have been in a panic all week about not posting a more traditional and autumn table! I was relieved when I visited Knock it off Kim today and she did a Halloween table too…This has been such a fun week, all the tables are so gorgeous and each one so unique- >
