Take-out Tuesday, White Chocolate Cranberry Ice Cream

This recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving, the December holidays and even Valentine’s Day!
And guess what, it only takes minutes to make,
More time for shopping and decorating!

White Chocolate Cranberry Ice Cream
Ingredients
Ice Cream
- 1 cup cranberry sauce whole berry or homemade*
- 1 can 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 8 oz. Cool Whip thawed
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Cranberry Sauce
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp orange juice
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
Ice Cream
- Mix everything together in a large bowl with a lid or plastic freezable container. Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving. Makes 8-10 servings. Keep frozen.
Cranberry Sauce
- Cook cranberries with the rest of ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally and keeping pan partially covered.. Cook until berries burst, about 15 minutes. Stir with a whisk to help break down berries and thicken sauce. Makes about 1 1/2 cups sauce

Use 1 cup of cranberry sauce for the ice cream and the remaining 1/2 cup to make White Cheddar Cranberry Fondue for a beautiful holiday appetizer

This is so creative! I had no idea you could make ice cream from Cool Whip! I always thought making ice cream was much more complicated and time consuming. This recipe is such a time saver. Thank for sharing! Happy Holidays.
I love this! I have a post scheduled to go up for a very similar (but slightly different) version of the same! Only the cranberry is very different. So, this is good indeed. I’ll link back to you when it goes up — might save it till a little closer to Christmas now.
