The Organized Life, Things You Should be Doing in June

June is another busy month with Hurricane season, Red Snapper Season on the Gulf Coast, Flag Day, Father’s Day, Summer Solstice or the first Day of summer, Wimbledon, not to mention Graduations, Weddings, Vacations…
Here’s some things you could do in June to enjoy all these events
Prepare for hurricane season by offering up a Shipwreck centerpiece
with plenty of things Washed Ashore to appease the hurricane gods 💨
Make some Fisherboy Cupcakes for Red Snapper Season with “the catch of the day”
Celebrate Flag Day, June 14, with a lot of red white and blue 🇺🇸
Red White & Blueberry Crostata
Pamper Dad with some Jubilee Crunch for Father’s Day, June 19th
Or lighten things up with Parmesan Crusted Vegetable Fries with Lemon Aioli
And don’t forget a Serious Steak with Caramelized Onion Herb Butter
Enjoy the longest day of the year with your toes in the sand
Nibbling on a Beach Bum Butter Rum Cupcake
Starting on June 27, watch some great tennis and have Breakfast at Wimbledon
Make a Monogram Frame Mat for the graduate or bride & groom
Rent a colorful cottage and getaway for a while
Or have a “Staycation,” and make a Patriotic Basket for the 4th of July
and dine on restaurant worthy Lobster Tempura
Orange Glazed Shrimp & Scallops
Luscious Lemon Raspberry Pastry
It’s going to be a great month!
What are your plans for June?

Wow! You have been busy. Your family must feel pretty special to have you cooking and decorating for them like you do. You are truly an inspiration to us all!
Lotta great ideas for this month. Love it!
Great post jammed pack with awesome inspiration! I love all of your vignettes/arrangements… but I have to say, the shipwrecked one for Hurricane Season was really creative! Sure hope we don’t have to have any hurricane parties this year! …ugh! All of the food looks divine, and your art work is amazing! 🙂 ~Rhonda
Thanks Rhonda, hurricane season always terrifies me, let’s hope we have another quiet year! >
These are great ideas for June! With the kids being out of school and for me trips with grandkids and vacations planned, this is a great list of projects, meals and desserts.
So great to have you join us at TOHOT!

Thanks Jemma! >
Fun Post! We are loving our June plans. Like your food “extras” suggestions. Linda
Jenna, love all the inspiration! I agree with Rhonda, the shipwreck centerpiece is fabulous…hopefully no hurricanes this year!. Your art is stunning…you are one talented lady!
Thank you Pam, I wish I was as talented as you in my garden! >
Oh my, so many ways to celebrate June! It is also my daughter’s birthday! The shipwrecked centerpiece is so much fun! I have a big old metal base of a boat I use to ice down party drinks, you have given me an idea for a new way to display and use it! I just love going through your tablescapes! Have a great June…and the rest of the summer, too!
I can’t wait to see what you do with that boat base! Happy Birthday to your daughter-
Wow Wow Wow Jenna! So many creative ideas and tons of inspiration in this post. Love that shipwreck centerpiece! I thought I was all set with that red snapper. Then the steak with those onion rings got my attention. But then the lobster tempura did me in. I will have to try to make that! Thanks for all these great ideas!

Well, you always inspire me Johanne!
Working on a beach themed table setting that had me thinking of you Jenna. Where do you vacation at the shore?
I can’t wait to see your table Johanne! We have a house on a private island on the Southern Gulf Coast near the Florida/Alabama state line, our little slice of paradise 🙂 >
How wonderful! I have long admired all your summer pictures from your little slice of paradise Jenna. Lucky you!
Looks like an eventful and fun month! Minus that hurricane stuff:@)
Wow…you gave us a lot of inspiration for the month of June….and what a great snapper he caught!
Love those “great catch” cupcakes! Have a great month of June and a great weekend!
Thank you Shirley, big fishing weekend here, our boat’s leaving the dock at 5 am, but I will be dreaming not fishing! >
Jenna, I had to chuckle at your shipwreck centerpiece…I hope hurricane season is not as active as they’re predicting! I can’t believe June has arrived, it’ll be Independence Day before we know it! Thanks for the inspiration, I hope the fishermen in your family reel in “the big one” this weekend 🙂
Orange glazed shrimp and scallops sounds amazing and can comfort me while I think of the hurricanes I fear will be visiting us this year!
Looks like a whole lot of fun and great food! Now I want to go to the beach!
Thanks Jan! >
I got a real kick out of your shipwreck centerpiece. That is going to be inspiration for something in my future. The snapper was quite a catch and I’m betting it provided some good eating.
Your recipes look awesome! Making me hungry. Visiting form Talented Tuesday party.
