Fearless Friday, Top Ten of 2023

Looking back over the Fearless Friday posts from this past year,

it was fun to see what was liked the best

I was happy to discover that the top ten favorites

indicated a wide variety of mediums and techniques!

Counting down from #10, Floral Initial,

a combination of watercolor, markers & “splatter”

#9 Bird on a Branch, watercolor and “splatter”

#8 whimsical Witchy Hats & Brooms with marker and watercolor

#7, Mary’s Poppies, done from a friend’s photograph

with watercolor, ink & colored pencil

#6, Painted Pumpkins,

a round up of a variety of ways to paint pumpkins

with watercolor and acrylic

including painting pumpkins themselves

#5, Autumn Apples with watercolor

#4, Rosy Rooster, a demonstration of botanical art

#3, Heart Flowers, with Zentangle style,

creating new shapes by combining a combination of smaller shapes

#2, Florabunny, painted with watercolor in a whimsical style

And #1 Blue Hydrangea Cake Dome,

a demonstration of painting on glass with acrylic

Is there anything special you’d like to see more of or request for 2024?

Please leave me a comment with any suggestions you may have

The hardest part about art for me is deciding what to draw or paint!

I’m looking forward to another year of learning,

experimenting and sharing art with you

Jenna, I love all ten and would be hard pressed to choose a favorite, but Flora Bunny might be my favorite! You are a gifted artist and I love your Fearless Friday posts! Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with family, health and your stunning paintings!

  2. I remember many of these — and some I don’t so I’ll just need to click back!

  3. Kari says:

I LOVE ‘EM ALL Jenna…you are so talented and I do remember these…I especially like the brooms and witch’s hats…so cute. Happy New Year my friend.

All of these projects are worthy of your list, but my favorites are the poppies and the bunnies!

    Hey, Jenna!–Happy New Year, almost!
My fave of your painting lessons?–still gotta’ go with the AUTUMN APPLES. Don’t know what it is about apples, but I do love them so. And your talent made them all the more ap-peel-ing!

Here in Georgia Christmas has been delayed, my family has been sick. We’re making sure we stay apart till all are well, but they are on the mend.

Hope you have a wonderful NEW YEAR with your family and friends. Please keep sharing your thoughts and talents here on your blog. We love you dearly!–

    • Oh no, so sorry you and yours have been under the weather Georgia Gal, but you are smart to delay your celebration…something to look forward to soon I hope! Thank you so much for your visits, friendship and sweet comments! Feel better, XOXO

  7. The bird on a branch was probably my favorite, but I love the overall encouragement you give us to try something new. You motivated me to pick up my paintbrush after thinking about it for months. (and overthinking it). The result wasn’t great, but the process was fun, and that’s what matters. I’m encouraged enough to try again soon. – Happy countdown! – I just wrote a blog post about creativity – so this is perfect!

    • Happy New Year Leslie Anne, I love to hear that I have motivated you to paint…and art is really all about confidence, the more you do it, the more comfortable you become. Cheers to 2024 and creativity!

Your talent seems endless, Jenna, and you make it all seem so easy. I love the watercolor poppies, and the splatter technique as on the bird adds a nice flair. Zentangle appeals to me too! Really, I love it all, and love the several pieces of your work that I have of my own ! Cheers to Fearless Fridays!

Jenna, I love the variety of your top 10 – I think it speaks to the amazing multi-domain and multi-media talent you have! I love love the hydrangea cake dome but all the others would be tied for second place lol. You have such inspiration to share and I so look forward to your wonderful creations in 2024.
