Take-out Tuesday, Handy Staples Recipes

Take it easy this summer, and save some trips to the store with these recipes from the handy staples list
When I made this list several weeks ago, I didn’t realize how very handy it would be!
Today I’m sharing links to all the Painted Apron recipes you can make with the things on this handy list
You can print the list here
Note: this list does not include the basic baking staples, condiments, spices and seasonings, that are found in most kitchens
I keep romaine hearts on hand so everything can be either made into a salad, or can be put on top of a salad or some salad can be a topper. This way if you don’t have any other fresh veggies, you can still balance your dish
I also try to keep crackers, chips, pasta on hand for easy appetizers and quick meals
Appetizers
Cheesy Ranch, Bacon & Onion Dip
Gold Nuggets if you have some bread
Breakfast and Brunch
Crescent Roll Cinnamon Cake this cake is iced for Mardi Gras but a simple vanilla glaze is all that’s needed
Maple Pecan Butter you can use regular maple syrup
Lunch and Dinner
Alabama Sassy Chicken with White BBQ Sauce
Bacon Jam or Maple Bourbon Bacon Jam if you can raid the liquor cabinet
Bleu Cheese Sauce is great on steak or burgers
Chicken Parmigiana {slow cooker} serve it alone, on pasta or on buns for sliders
Frico {cheese crisps} Don’t have any crackers? Make some with cheese! A great addition to salads too
Full Moon Flatbread – adapt the recipe to use what you have. This recipe calls for a variety of summer fruits and is wonderful topped with an egg for a brunch dish
Italian Fries -potatoes, garlic, Italian seasoning, and baked to crispy perfection
Microwave Potato Chips are easy to make, and a treat with dips
Mustard Maple Pecan Chicken is an easy peasy weeknight dinner, use thighs or boneless breasts
Mustard Maple Salad Dressing this is my go to dressing, it’s light and great on everything
Parmesan Puff Pastry Breadsticks add sesame seeds for extra pizazz if you have some {I used black ones}
Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes use a liner for fast clean up
Sweet n Sour Chicken you’ll need a little cornstarch for this one
Waffle Fries {baked} you can serve them with a little sour cream flavored with fresh chives or minced onion if you have it
Dessert
Berry Cheesecake Galette use any fresh or frozen berries
Mama’s Mississippi Sour Cream Swirl Cake you’ll need cinnamon for the swirl
Million $ Pound Cake you don’t have to do the fancy toffee topping, a simple vanilla sugar glaze is fine
Speedy Peanut Butter Cookies Got peanut butter? You’ve got cookies!
A well stocked pantry is such a time saver, just a quick trip to the garden, farmer’s market, or produce dept. and you have a variety of dishes at your finger tips
Stock your pantry and take it Easy!

Wow, Jenna! You are so organized and such a fabulous cook. I’m intrigued by many of your recipes. Microwave potato chips sound great. I’m passing your recipe onto my daughter and DIL. They both have mandolins and love chips.
I could stay on your post for a long time with so many good recipes today.
Thanks Bonnie, I hope you try the chips, they are amazing! >
