Holidays, 4th Food, Tables & Crafts

Let’s talk Pinterest for a minute

I LOVE Pinterest, and yes it can be addicting and a time sucker, but it’s also full of ideas for just about anything you can think of, and my favorite thing about Pinterest is using it as a personal organizational tool

Instead of trying to keep ideas floating around in your head, make a Pinterest board

Flag bottles

When there is an upcoming week or weekend full of family at the beach, the first thing I do is begin planning the food.  We do go out occasionally for lunch, but with 4 very active little ones, and crowded restaurants in the summertime, we much prefer to stay home and grill

Umami Burgers

This weekend I’m doing some advance planning for the 4th week,

when we will have a house full for 5-6 days

 Pinterest is where I begin

Blue Raspberry Bread

I made a 4th of July Recipes board and divided it into sections.

Do you use the sections to organize your boards?  This is such a brilliant improvement to the format and it makes it so easy to find things quickly

If you are the host or hostess, being organized is the best way to invest your time because it will save you so much time and stress later, and you can be relaxed and enjoy as much as everyone else

I ordered some gourmet burgers from Omaha Steaks, they have a whole new line of “Gourmet Burgers” with some mouthwatering toppings to go with them, like Smokey Bacon Jam, Sweet Bourbon Onions, & Dijon Mustard Aioli.  These will make wonderful quick dinners

Bacon Double Cheeseburger

Here are some favorite recipes and ideas that are perfect for summer occasions

And for even more red, white & blue inspiration,

🇺🇸. Those gourmet burgers sound good! I’ll be checking those out 😉

  2. I know how organized you are and you certainly need to be with a house full for a week. I know you’ve got it covered with your gorgeous painted 4th of July tablescapes and decor. I know the kiddos can’t wait to get there and party and play and best of all eat. How wonderful for your family:)
    Hugs and happy week……
