Holidays, Keeper of the Cloth Table & St. Patrick’s Day Round-up

I got really lucky last year when I found a very special package in my mailbox,

the Lucky Traveling Shamrock Table Topper!

This festive vintage topper, covered with shamrocks and Celtic knots, began it’s journey In the Middle of Nowhere from Marigene.  You can see her original tablescape here.  She passed it to Cuisine Kathleen with instructions to pass it to another blogger for a table…and so the journey began…to The Gazebo House, and Home is Where the Boat is, on to Hyacinths for the Soul and Kitty’s Kozy Kitchen…

It has traveled here and there, far and yonder,

and from Mountain Breaths in the North last year, it came to me in the South!

And somewhere along the way, a leprechaun joined the journey!

Pots of gold follow him wherever he goes!

He’s a jolly soul, always smiling

Who wouldn’t be smiling surrounded by lucky shamrocks and gold  ☘️

Who will be the next “Keeper of the Cloth?”

  3. Jenna, you really do St. Patrick’s Day up right, love seeing your vignettes from the past. Fun to see the list of the traveling table topper, it has been in good hands! 5. Oh Jenna, We were talking about the traveling topper at our NYC traveling toters lunch but Debbie would not reveal the destination!!! I have been trying to guess but I was quite surprised and delighted just now to open your post! Your daughter is beautiful and her little princess looks quite elegant in her gown and tiara. I was eyeing your delicious list of goodies and I stopped suddenly at the Baileys cupcakes. I need to make these this weekend for guests! Just my style too–super easy! Mr. Leprechaun, on his fabulous M-C perch surrounded by magical shamrocks, looks like he may have indulged in a few already! Linda

I was wondering where that cloth went! So many fond memories of the fun St. Patrick’s Day Blog crawls and the friends made along the way.
Thanks so much for showing the keeper of the cloth tag Rett made too.
    Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

    • Oh, thank you Kathleen! Of course I have been thinking of you while creating St. Pat’s food and decor…I hope you are well and your heart is healing. I was thrilled to receive the traveling topper! Such fun!

  7. Your St. Paddy’s day decorations are so happy, they make me smile. And I love the recipe share. I think I need to make those shamrock sandwiches! (I did potato crowns again earlier this week — they have become a go-to!). And how fun to have something so cherry that goes from blogger to blogger, friend to friend. It adds to the special time you set/look at your pretty table!

  8. I was wondering where it would land this year – you certainly have a way of designing a beautiful table top! Your 3 tiered serving stand is a beauty! I want to hire you as my personal chef, too, is that possible?

    • ha ha, thank you Patti! I don’t work as hard in the kitchen as you might think, my husband and son are always cooking too…HH surprised me with the tiered stand a couple of Christmas’ ago, I almost fainted! It is always on display somewhere and I use it all the time ❤️

  22. You have such a pretty family, Jenna. The leprechaun is so cute….he’s laughing all over himself! This is a great round-up. I think I’ll let Trip read and and pick some recipes. I haven’t really gotten excited about cooking anything lately because of the never-ending-horse-show-season, but now that it’s finally over, maybe I’ll have time to cook more!

  23. I absolutely love the tradition of the travelling table topper. What a wonderful idea. Your table is lovely and the menu looks delicious.

Your little princess and I share the same birthday, it’s a fun day to have a birthday!!
